Nurse to the Doctor

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I heard that on Vision Tours, nurses to Dr was Susan (sic!) Jozefowicz. She also sang with the Sisters.

The Vision Tour programme lists 'hardware' by Dan Donovan. That's Dan Donovan, ex-B.A.D., formerly married to Patsy Kensit and brother of Daisy Donovan. I think he might he been replaced at some point in the tour. Not sure who did the 1991 festivals.

Certainly by 1992 the backing job was done by Suzanne Joszevic and Jovanka Wilsdorf (UTR 8 notes their absence from the line up for the Leysin gig in July 1993), one of whom was replaced by Hermine von Wiro for the Overbombing Tour. It's in the letters page of one of the subsequent UTRs in response to a question about the line up, but I can't find it at the moment.

Dave Creffield (Ravey Davey) did the 1996 gigs and was replaced by Simon D in 1997, who has done it since then with the exception of a couple of gigs (maybe the 1998 tour) when someone called Mike did it (supposedly Vince Clarke's roadie/techie) briefly.

Yeah, I thought about poland gig (30.04.1991) & earlier. I think Suzanne Joszevic and Susan Juzefowicz are the same persons.
She comes from Wroclaw.
I think I'm folling in love in Hermine von Wiro

And before her stint in the Sisters she was a member of that dodgy 80's novelty act "The Barron Knights"!!! (anyone remember them?) This is mentioned in one of the UTR's. Eldritch has a habit of recruiting personel who used to be in "questionable" bands - W. Hussey (Dead or Alive) and Tony James (S.S.Sputnik) spring to mind. Anyone think of any others?

I think I'm folling in love in Hermine von Wiro  ('Overbombing Tour' backing job?
It took some searching, but here is her picture... She looks very cute on this piccy... Apparently her husband is called Polypex and they are currently residing in Key West.

Chris Sheehan has done stints with Belinda Carlisle and Babylon Zoo.

In addition, Chris's (fabulous) new album 'Sounds Like Chris Starling' is getting a proper release via Popchild Records next month.
