goth

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

If this question had been asked about 5 years ago I would have had to say "The Merry Thoughts" - I thought they were great - anyone know what happend to them?
I know somebody on "Dominion" runs their email listing.

Nowadays I could point out perhaps "VAST" (Visual Audio Sensory Theatre") and perhaps HIM - both these bands are still very underated and could be called "Goth"

Also "God Head" are certainly in the genre - but being on the Marilyn Manson lable (interscope) then a pinch of salt may be needed :P

Speaking of Mr. Warner - I think his stuff is great - i just bother with all the "political" bollocks he spouts!

Hope some of this helps to answer your question!

i agree - The Merry Thoughts were great but where are they now?
since i don't consider myself a man who knows the whole truth about goth i could only give some names and you could discuss about them...
Rosetta Stone?
London After Midnight?
well, maybe they are not "brand new" enough...
