a little question for the train-spotting community: does anyone know how many sources are generally available for this gig? after years of not checking, what i had previously assumed were duplicate copies are actually different.
thanks.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

i haven't heard that one but then i've been listening to the same copy for 20 years.
i'll go and check andrew and if the other one's the one you mention i'll send you a copy.
edit: no, it's not on either.shame.
so that's three sources so far.any more for any more?

Thanks for the offer Lee. I just dug out the old review and unless the reviewer was mistaken, it was definitely that gig. The sound was apparently heavily biased towards Marx's guitar and "the relentless drone of the bass" during Gimme Shelter.eastmidswhizzkid wrote:

my copy has almost the full Kashmir intro, someone keeps shouting about the Whistle Test (esp after Marian 'why don't you do it on the W T see if it works?' - very prescient!), and he 'what a dumb place to leave a chair' during a lull in Burn.
It's on tape at the mo, but I'll transfer it to cdr if anyone wants a trade

Is this the place I used to know as Fatherland?

Oh...Lee...expect a groveling PM with in the next couple of minutes
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
