Bau-hoose in Glesga!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

One of their best, IMHO :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: - although I believe they're more fond of the first version on The Sky's Gone Out. Numptys.

Good to put some faces to names - however briefly - must arrive
earlier next time.
Agreed! Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet you as I left the pub early to ensure we got one of the comfy sofas to the side of the stage, which I ended up dancing on:-) The sofa I mean - not the stage. Great gig though. I hope they're as good in Brixton as they were last night.
Don't worry - travel arrangements next time will ensure pre and post event socialising!

@Erudite sorry about the stolen bag scenario, not a very good impression of Glasgow  I apologise for the high proportion of Neds in the city.

Cheers, but to be fair, it was left in the street!
Anyway, no real harm done.
Still can't get over the fact that my Motorola handset is so cheap that
it's not worth stealing. :innocent:

Hopefully, we'll meet up properly next time.

A bit late wading in with my comments on this one, but I have to agree with all that's been said already - definitely not one to miss.

Highlights for me included In The Flat Field, Swing The Heartache, She's In Parties, Severance, Telegram Sam & Ziggy Stardust, and of course Bela. And the sheer theatre of Murphy strutting in circles around Daniel Ash throughout Rosegarden Funeral of Sores.

I suspect that I grinned like a loon through the entire performance (not very Goth, I know). I experienced an odd kind of calm euphoria afterward, and it wasn't really until Tuesday morning that my brain started shouting at me "That was f**king amazing!"

And it was great meeting all you lovely MacHeartland folk who were in attendance. I'm starting to think that maybe you are my kind of people after all, you magnificent bastards.

In Manchester, so did Murph

My heart lifted as he donned the acoustic and informed us that "Spirit's definitely on tonight...". However, it promptly sank when he started playing "All We Ever Wanted Was Everything". Twas of course returned to its elevation by the end. First time I've heard the song (), it's fookin' marvellous :notworthy:

I caught myself several times doing just that. Or staring at the stage with a look of kind of giddy rapture...
Did I stop when I realised? Did I fcuk! ;D

As for that bit where Murph was strutting round Ash... was I the only one thinking "How much longer can he keep doing that before he's going to get dizzy and keel over?" :innocent: :urff:

not mine Z & Don, just a link I picked up on Dime A Dozen, if I'd been bothered to strap on my old Canon A1, they'd have been better and there woulda been a lot more of Danny Boy :D
