Sorry if this is a silly question - are PMs that have taken up residence in my outbox simply PMs that have not been read by the recipient, or is there a more sinister reason for them being there??

I think it means They have not logged in to get your PM, I might be wrong though?

As the two gentlemen above concurred; if it's still in your outbox, it's not been read by the recipient. Once it has, it disappears from your outbox and moves to your send box and the recipient's inbox. Hope that helps. :wink:
