I'm happy for you. Would look a bit strange 1.75 and a size 49 (13.5)....

assuming that it's genuine (which i presume it is) what a damned fine gesture from the longest serving sister's guitarist -especially the "amnesty" donation.
far too small for me mind -size 7?

"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

What do you think he has in mind when he says "Guitar not included ; ) but an extra little personal Sisters-related item by way of authentication is"?
If he's auctioning-off personal kit, can we expect to see 's y-fronts in the near future? Perhaps Patty's nail- and hair-care kits? Tim's portable Full English Breakfast?

For historical purposes, here is the text from the listing. After all, it will be a dead link in a few weeks. Can someone save the photo and link that as well?
pioipioi, the seller at eBay wrote:I look after The Legendary Mister Whammy's (former guitarist for Sisters of Mercy) studio in the UK and his former UK eBay account - he asked me to list this item with the following note: "It's time to hang up my boots folks. I mean literally. After over 20 years of r'n'r, I'm moving on. I wore them for almost every Sisters show since 1993 (apart from a few shows in 2001) - my "lucky" boots. They've been trodden on innumerable times by well known artistes who had the (very reasonable) excuse of an unusually smoky atmosphere. One of you might care to save them from that great aftershow party in the sky - they'd look good on Mr Fawkes come November in any case. They've seen more wild adventures than I can (or want to) recall ha ha, and some very nifty dancing even if I say so myself. Guitar not included ; ) but an extra little personal Sisters-related item by way of authentication is. UK Size 7 - a bit tight on me, but that's rock'n'roll... now, where are my slippers?" All proceeds to Amnesty International.
pioipioi later added wrote:Shipping - €15 approx Europe, $20 approx USA/Canada, $25 approx Rest Of World.
pioipioi further added wrote:Jeez... you people are so suspicious! These boots were worn for concerts only, and barely smell of anything any more - just a faint whiff of victory. You do understand the concept of metaphors don't you?
