Got any interesting thoughts on a set of lyrics? Any that don't involve the word "indeed"? Find yourself struggling to decipher all those obtuse references Von makes? Read "1959 And All That" and still no clearer? Nope, us neither. Postcards found lying in a skip around the back of the Chemists can be found here... Don't say you weren't warned.

I've asked this before...
In "More".... the "one thing I know..."
I don't hear it. I've been listening to this song since the day it came out back in 90 and I still don't hear him say that line. It sounds like he's saying something else. Sounds like "one thing went byyyyyy" or something. Am I alone about this? Anyone else not hear "One thing I know"?

I think it's just you

At first I couldn't work out what the high bit was, but after reading the lyrics I can definitely here "one thing I know."

Agree with RZ -- It is "One thing I knowwwwwwwwwww ... but I want MORE!"
That's the way that I hear it anyway.

I think James you're thinkng "some people get by" (start of 2nd and 3rd verse/refrains).
It's definitely a whinny, high pitched, yelpy "one Thing I knowwwwwwwwwwww".
Penultimate line on verse three.
