Does the band seem to mind cameras at shows?
For those that have been able to snap some photos at shows, does the band seem to mind pics being taken? Or does everyone seem to do it real sneaky like? With some of the great pics showing up it seems that some people are gettin' right up there with the cameras. I'm would imagine flashes would be frowned upon by Of course security is a factor also I imagine. Any thoughts?

He certainly can't stand Flashes.
Last year in Lokeren there was a poster hanging out 'Sisters of Mercy - No flash during track 1, 3, 5' or something in that direction
Sadly it was gone by the time I thought of the possibility of getting it
Pictures, don't think they mind, in Tilburg last year I even had the impression he was nearly posing every now and then

well last night there were points when they certainly seemed to be posing when they saw cameras
A flash is pretty useless at a Sisters show anyhow, - the flash will hit the smoke and you'll get a photo of....smoke
better to wait until there is enough lighting around them & use the available light

There were tons of cameras at the Ft Lauderdale show.
I took some.
Flash is worthless and make your pictures totally foggy and blurry.
Turn the flash off and snap when Lights are shining away from you (therefore from Andy), or to the other opposite side of you.
Check the pictures I took in the Ft. Lauderdale thread.

I didn't use a flash either and I had my camera set for night shooting. It's hit or miss with the lighting so you just have to be patient.
And it's worth mentioning again Booslham your photos are great!

I phoned the Astoria and they said they non-professional quality equipment (normal digital cameras etc) were fine.
Having said that, it's fairly useless using a Flash at a gig anyway - the photos usually look better without a flash.

I've tried contacting the official site to ask permission to film the gigs I'm going to (Leeds, Manchester & Notts).......I got an Postman notice saying my mail was un-deliverable (that was to that Mozzer geezer with the quiff !!!!! ) So I haven't been able to get the nod from them but I'm gonna take my cam-corder anyway & try it anyway.......
Anyone got any info about contacting them or if they mind people filming gigs ??????????????????
Cheers & see U all at these gigs.....

since the bouncers (who dictate this at a "you want in or not" level) work for the venue I'd suggest phoning the venue and getting a reply from them.

I'm sure they don't condone it;
whether you're caught or not probably depends
on the security staff in any particular venue.
Apologies if you have already *figured this out*
