Barring the recent (and very welcome) upsurge in positive response from the American north east*, we have noticed a disturbing number of posts from folks who feel that the 2006 set list is lacking in innovation and/or set list change from show to show.
We hope to address this issue once and for all.
To wit: we have prepared a short analysis of the Sisters' setlists so far (http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=45426 ; click 'download file'), with the notable exceptions of Monterrey, Orlando, and Atlanta (currently unavailable). Songs in bold + underline appear for the first time; songs in bold (no underline) re-appear after having been dropped; songs in italics have been moved up or down from the previous setlist; arrows indicate a song moves up or down in the following show.
A quick perusal of said file will reveal a decided fluidity to the set(s), which (wonder of wonders) is roughly comparable to tours from years past... If you don't believe us, feel free to dig out your old, battered copies of 'Life,' and have a gander at the lists from '83 to '85 (flawed though they may be for fine detail, you'll see where we are going). More recently, dig into the collective recollection of how the shows progressed during 'Tour Thing,' etc., and then assert that the 2006 tour is static...
The bottom line is this- a band cannot, for logistical reasons, play a completely different set each and every night. The Sisters have been, are, and will no doubt continue to shift their songs about and re-arrange what they play as different legs of the tour are reached, and/or as the mood strikes them (good news for Europe, as you have, by far, the best odds of hearing a new song or two... we expect someone will upload a video and/ or audio file when that happens
).Besides which, as someone whom we are curently too lit to remember stated in an earlier thread, this whole "play different songs" issue wouldn't even be an issue, were it not for the advent of the internet and its rapid delivery of information.
Bottom line: the Sisters rock the fcuk out. Go see the show(s) and be damned well glad you did.
PS: We realise that most of you will probably be wondering why we are belaboring such an obvious point, but we have spoken to too many damned "fans" at shows from Nevada to Pennsylvania whose negative comments simply needed to be addressed. With extreme prejudice.

The only thing different they could do would be a cover, but perhaps they're not doing that because most of the fans seem apathetic as is. The humor in any cover might be totally lost on most people, "goth" or not.
