My collection

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Warning: Newcomers posting here first will be treated like spammers. At least have the courtesy to say hello in General Chat first...

I don't really want to trade. But I wonder what is my collection worth?

So it's a banal one? Vinyls bought between 1985 and 1989?

Sorry Martin.
:innocent:
The 12" singles normally go for between a quid and five in the UK. The albums not much more.
The Japanese Floodland is another matter though....

Rare?

It's almost the best Sisters of Mercy album, without the name and without Eldritch singing!

Is that Temple of Love CD in an "album" jewel box? Never saw that before, just in thin CDS cases. Canadian-pressed?

Don't let them get to you Martin. They can and will be rather caustic when given the chance.

By Von's book they are all rather valuable. But you really should upgrade to mp3.

Upgrade to MP3 from vinyl?

Most would consider that downgrading :innocent:

I use MP3 every day, but for collecting's sake it's - well - rubbish. As long as I can't hold it in my hands I consider myself not to have it.

Nothing is as lovely as vinyl 8)

And FLAC is the future ;D

Well, I better like 256 kbps VBR AAC…

…or good old AIFF for my digitalized vinyls. ;)

CD has less bandwidth than vinyl.
