UPDATE [March 21]* :
The Warlocks' own circumstances require them to miss four dates,
but the mighty Rob Dickinson has graciously agreed to take over
from them in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver.
That's just odd. After the Detroit show I was discussing various things with friends, and the time I saw the Catherine Wheel came up. Rob being cousin (or related anyway) to Bruce (of Iron Maiden fame) the conversation turned to high-brow brit metal. That would've been end of story, but here I see that I could've seen Rob *and* the Sisters out west. Life's odd.

And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.
Certainly. For about sixteen seconds.Aegir wrote:*sigh*SINsister wrote:Jinxed! HA!

thing is, I'm not even a good guitar player. It's likely down to 3 seconds.
That ribbon thing..

-The Warlocks will rejoin the tour once they have recovered from the results
of that discussion about artistical topics with Andrew.
Or something like that.
Um. Good night.

and still no mention of the glasgow gig?
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

It was funny to have a band opening for TSoM promoting an album called "Just Like Surgery", what with Chris having appendicitis and Andrew a cracked rib (again).
Every time they mention the album the Sisters are like "Oh god, don't remind me..."
Also. After a while the Warlocks show was just like surgery. Performed without anesthesia. A very long, drawn out procedure involving many tiny cuts. Gah! I know Lou Reed is cool, guys, but he was cool because he wrote, you know...
Songs.
Rather than just doing the 8-to-a-bar guitar drone on its own for 45 minutes...

Yes, it's a bit strange...I would love to see that one if it's gonna be the last indoor-gig on this tour!eastmidswhizzkid wrote:and still no mention of the glasgow gig?
A bit strange also that Ireland isn't getting any candy on this huge trip...

I'm really, really not sure "cool" is the best way to describe Lou Reed.GMC wrote:I know Lou Reed is cool, guys, but he was cool because he wrote, you know...

Just stay away from those things, FFS. Although the thought of Von not being able to resist a quick thud-thump (who can?) is rather fab too.
