Good luck with the test Jens...
A few more hours and I'm off to Köln in a nice and
sunny weather.....
@ MB thanks!
Köln 2006
Just been listening to Lucretia, mobile to mobile, as it's performed. Interesting that they chose to develope the sound of that song with underwater gurgley effects and distortion and fade.
Or maybe that's just the mobile reception quality at this time of night between Germany and the UK.
You know who you are.

Just got back from Cologne. What an excellent gig! Shame that the setlist was so short though... Von sang very well although too quiet at places but the the guitars and backing vocals were just perfect! By the way, this is my first post here, welcome to all the Heartlanders, see you in London and Amsterdam!

Okay, my review of a top day out.
My girlfriend and I arrived at the venue at about 3.30 PM.
In the garden next to the venue the Sisters' crew were enjoying the weather. Chris and Ben were also there, no Von though.
I called Ben and Chris (nicely ) if they got a minute. They signed my ticket and I had a little talk to them. We talked about Paris as it was one of their favorite performances with a great crowd. They also mentioned Hamburg, Mexico City and Anaheim. A little talk about HL and then I had some photo's taken with these very kind men. Before they had to go back for the soundcheck I asked Ben if it wouldn't be too much trouble to save a setlist for me. So he did and after the gig he came over to me and gave me the setlist. A special "thank you" for Ben.
Von signed it as well....
We met some people of Poison Door and the kind HL-ers Jenzi, eotunun, Ania, Eva, Andrew S and last but certainly not least, Doc P ( ; you know why ). Listened to the soundcheck which were pretty hard to listen to because of the Doc "beating" the windows. We could hear:
First & Last & Always, Suzanne, Detonation Boulevard, Giving Ground and Temple Of Love.
While queing I had a little chat with Paul and Donna.
Doors opened at 7 pm and after watching NIHIL the band made their appearance a few minutes past 9 pm. We were standing first row a tiny bit to Chris' side of the stage.
The band rocked and gave away an excellent performance. Good sound and a very, very clear "Von voice"
Good crowd that loved the "old" songs Alice and This Corrosion most.
Von stopped singing during the second refrain of This Corrosion and let the crowd do the singing. He was obviously enjoying it.
The setlist did not contain any surprises and was similar or equal to the last gigs. Summer and Suzanne were my favorite songs of the night.
After a few seconds of Something Fast they stopped playing. Von said something that I could not understand and they started the song again. Does anyone know what Von said
Ben and Chris rocked big time during Top Nite Out and the show ended with Temple Of Love.
After the show we met Chris and Ben again. I also had a little chat with Speedy Dave. Doc P had a pretty long talk with Chris so I let him do the review on this one.
Only thing I will mention is the fact that ever since Chris joined the band they have been working on new stuff...
The guys were not joining us to Jambaleia so Ania, eotunun, Doc P, my girlfriend Wendy and myself had a short walk through the rain to the Jambathingy. Stayed there for about 45 minutes and went back to the car (tired but happy) after saying goodbye.
A true top day out. A big thank you to the people that made this day an unforgetable one. Even my girlfriend (who's not realy into the Sissies enjoyed the day big time).
My last gig of this tour... .
Waiting for the next one to arrive....

"as we walk on the floodland"
That was a great day with great heartlanders, a wonderfull concert, Nihil were briliant openers, everything was fine.
I was at the central station in time for the last train, and found out I wasn`t..
An interesting night of talks with people that smelt like they had hitch hiked the universe began. The most interesting sight of that night were the biggest rats I´ve ever seen going to church. As if I hadn´t known all the time..

Thanks everyone - I really enjoyed partying with you and causing some RANDALE (or at least trying to) . The gig was OK, I'm getting slightly tired of watching them playing the same stuff all the time. And I have only been to 3 gigs. I think I may leave it till Poland...

Must be because of "heb je even voor mij". They always scream for attention.
