So who'll win the World Cup...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Our (erm) dear President Chirac really wants France to do well at the World Cup, but only because he's so unpopular, that's the only thing that can save his sorry arse.

Dukla Pumpherston Sawmill and Tannery FC.
A legendary charity football team Dukla Pumpherston, a motley crew of former professional players and and television personalities who tour the country - indeed the world enjoying themselves while raising cash for excellent causes. They are best described as a drinking team with a football problem...

I don't think England will win it, so I'm going for Czech Republic.

I wonder if Finland made it into the World Cup?

I think the cup would look nice sitting next to the Eurovision bunch of flowers in the Finnish trophy cabinet :D

Europe - Qualifying Group 1
Yellow= Qualified teams

P W D L F A Pts
Netherlands 12 10 2 0 27 3 32
Czech republic 12 9 0 3 35 12 27

Romania 12 8 1 3 20 10 25
Finland 12 5 1 6 21 19 16
Macedonia 12 2 3 7 11 24 9
Armenia 12 2 1 9 9 25 7
Andora 12 1 2 9 4 34 5

So the simple answer is no!

Argentina will beat brazil in the final becoming the first south American side to win a world cup held in Europe since Brazil in 1958
(England will lose to brazil in the semis)

My money's on Argentina.

I've also got a side bet that England will go out on penalties in the Quarters. (Probably to Germany or Argentina come to think of it...)
