Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.
Until fairly recently passengers on the Knaresborough/Harrogate train were greeted with the truly heartwarming sight of:
"The Sisters of Mercy - Rise and Reverberate"
written in spray paint on the back of one of the end houses just before Burley Park station.
Unfortunately some philistine has removed it. Does anyone know who was originally responsible? Could they be persuaded to restore their masterwork to its former glory?

Very little of what you believe to be true is actually the case.
There is a town just south of St Andrews up in Scotland called Crook of Devon - some smartypants spray painted "Twin Town - Thief Of Baghdad"
under the signpost....

nearly crashed the car as I passed......
Who said graffiti was always antisocial?
Maybe Nigel Rees should be taken out of the deep freeze and persuaded to write another of his fine collections, only this time without so many "**** is gay" type entries...

On the platform at Redcar Central Railway Station (Saltburn-Middlesbrough line in North Yorkshire/Cleveland) spray painted in white above a bricked in doorway "Sisters of Mercy" - it's been there 14 years to my knowledge (they even repainted and cleaned up the place of graffiti but left this for all to see!)
In Leeds just past Park Lane College on a wall I saw "The Sisters Of Mercy" painted with a stencil in quite small lettering. This had been put there sometime in the early 80's and was still there last time I walked by that way in the early 90's.

I know that bit because I used to live by Burley Park station. Most disappointed to see it had been covered up, although the The Sister Of Mercy in blue at the top of the Beechwoods just round from my old house was just about still visible when I went there on Sunday. Both examples are/were just a short walk from Village Place where Andrew used to live. I wonder...
If memory serves there is a credit on 'Wake' to amongst others Surfin' Merb and the Ashville Mofos.
The 'Ashvilles' are four or five streets of terraced houses that run alongside the train line near Burley Park station...
More significantly, one of them (Grove I think...) has a CHEMISTS at the end of the street!
Do I need to spell it out or can you fill in the gaps

Missed the Ashville ref. at the end of the Wake vid, although having lived across the road I know well what the roads are called.
However I'd always assumed that "above the chemists" was a metaphor.
Still be interested in knowing who *specifically* was responsible. Pure curiosity, you understand.
Addendum: I've just remembered that, ironically, a "chemist" of my acquaintance once lived on Ashville Grove.

Yeah but can you believe that house in Village Place was only rented for all those years, Claire (ex) and Mick (Brown, ex m*****n) only moved out to Armley recently. He's looking better these days at least. By the way, the non-Spanish 'residence' in Kirkstall has bullet proof glass as one of Von's key purchases. Paranoia getting out of hand I'd say...
