Astoria 2006 has been acknowleged as all round worst gig of the tour. This was also my first and only sisters show, so obviously I'm eager to see them again.
But no matter how aweful he thinks London is there is no denying the vast army of fans based in and near to the city. Anybody think there will be a one off date sometime in the near future?

*fingers crossed, looks at the horribley deformed fingers of older sisters fans that have been waiting 15 years for a new album, quickly uncrosses fingres*

To be fair I liked the Astoria gig as well, it was sisters and they rocked. But the exessive smoke, sound trouble and lack of 1 single track from falaa didn't help the overall show.
Nationalise the f**king lot.
What is wrong with adding comments to the thread already on the Astoria gig?
I convinced myself that Von would plan a 'consolation' gig in London soon after, but it never happened. I've seen the Sisters a dozen times and this was by far the worst. That said, the Sisters on a bad day is still a sight (and sound) to behold. Please come back!

The DVD's rather fine, was it a different gig?

The cover version we've all been waiting for...
My Rose has left me,
I'm in a mood,
she's gone to Kenya with the bloke from Allied Carpets.
She wasn't immunised, that's a legal requirement,
she's increasingly slapdash,
since we bought that new hearth rug.
My Rose has left me,
I'm in a mood,
she went to Kenya.
We couldn't have children,
that didn't stop us from trying,
we were turned down for adoption,
because of her bizarre appearance.
Oh, Rose how we loved you,
but where are you now?
Alone with your salesman, you adulterous cow.

Rather fine? You jest James, can you hear the vocals on Temple Of Love? Sure, the quality of the recording is ace, but the gig? Awful.James Blast wrote:The DVD's rather fine, was it a different gig?

Who needs to hear the vocals on Temple of Love when we have the Multi Mood Melodies of Mulligan and O'Hare?
