THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
I'm thinking, and been doing so for twelve years, about getting the TSOM-head in ink. The Neubauten cyclop and the Cat Rapes Dog "Moose" has also been on my mind at times.
...and, yes, I've seen the rough porn clip with a girl that has TSOM-tattoos. You don't have to mention that one.
re the new logo, how do you make the eye wink?
enquiring minds need to know!
ive always toyed with getting temple of love done as its very simplisitic yet rather strident at the same time, should go well with my unknown pleasures one and the everythings gone green (7") one!

I would love a sisters tatoo, but getting a band tatoo seems a bit like getting your girlfriends name done. I can't see myself losing interest in the sisters, but...
That said I'm probably going to end up with a sisters tatoo at some point, after a good gig (I live in hope) and too much to drink.
For me it was no doubt about it. I'm not a tatoo freak but since I wanted to have one Sisters was my only choice. Have been listening to them since I was ten years old they have been a big part of my life (musicwise anyway). 3/5 of my life to be exact.
I had a funny story about it: I went to a tattoo artist, wanting the new logo but he said that I'm too skinny and it wouldn't look good
so I got the old one.
but I don't have a better picture than this http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e398/ ... MG1241.jpg

I think you got the better of the two designs...
"An artist is a creature driven by demons. He doesn't know why they choose him and he's usually too busy to wonder why." - William Faulkner
actually I like them both (both designs). for me the old one represents their old music and the new one the current style and attitude. and I do like them both - their early years music and music I can enjoy now at their gigs and almost everything they have done between. I wanted to get the new design because for me Sisters isn't just a retro or nostalgia band - they still kick a**.
but today I just listened again their old demos (Alice, Good Things etc) and one of the 83 gigs (Heartland, ooh....) and I'm very satisfied by the old logo again

I agree, I too do not see the Sisters as a nostalgia band.
I love it all, but wish there was more....
