The James Ray webpage's got a very nice facelift. Check out the Longfolk songs if you haven't already. Then chill out with the Great Architect.
Brilliant stuff indeed.

Been waiting to hear "Longfolk" for a long time, and I'm not disappointed.
Has anyone else noticed that James Ray sounds more like Nick Cave than Andrew Eldritch now? Also, Nothing At All reminds me of a Lou Reed song, but I can't place which one.

A bit slow, but very lovely indeed, as per usual
I was wondering about some James Ray factoids as well: I read somewhere there was a release of Frank Tovey's work including not-Fad Gadget stuff, including a track of MKUltra. Now is this James Ray's MKUltra or another one?

Gave the EP a proper listen, and I have to say that “Between Those States of Mind is my favourite track. How does James Ray do that echo effect?

Yeah, it grows on you. I like it too. And the Reed song you're thinking of is the Wild Side.nick the stripper wrote:Gave the EP a proper listen, and I have to say that “Between Those States of Mind is my favourite track. How does James Ray do that echo effect?

Nice to see the renewed site
The Longfolk stuff is very good. 'Those states of mind' is a regular on my 'Nightly Disease'-mixtapes (as well as the instrumental one) and I'd love to hear the tracks that didn't make it on the cd. Mista Ray told me there's a few more, but maybe some day he'll upload them on the site as well? We'll see...
And the postcard Andrew wrote to him is a nicely put on the background of the Performance-page. What a treat!
Any news on that new Gangwar album?

There have been a few things which have threatened to affect when or if it will see the light of day. But from what I've heard of it thus far, it is rather bangin'.radiojamaica wrote:Any news on that new Gangwar album?
Although whether it will be released under the title of James Rays Gangwar is as yet uncertain.

There is an outside chance of that actually happening.Planet Dave wrote:He can call it James Rays Rather Bangin' Choons for all we care.
@radiojamaica - The "new" Longfolk tracks are champion, but vocal-less and release-date-less atm. Hope you like flamenco.
