Well, I know lots of people are bound to have seen this, but for those who haven't, its worth the posting alone. I love this, for what its worth...

This is from a talk show on Dutch TV.
On the left of your screen is the interviewer and on his right is a young couple.
The husband had surgery a while ago and whilst 'under the
knife' a medical mishap occurred during which he was tragically castrated.
Now we all know that castration gives one a slightly higher voice.
Make sure your sound is on and pay attention to the interviewer.

No Dutch necessary....

Ok, time to set things straight : this segment is not from Dutch TV, it's from Flemish tv station Canvas. Second, the 'talk show' isn't a real talk show, as this is a sketch from the satire show 'In de Gloria', which satirised several aspects of the social life as well as certain types of media in Flanders. There was, for instance, this weekly returning sketch of a tv reporter and camera crew rudely intruding on people's personal life and finding out several embarrassing situations, wereupon the reporter sarcastically interjected and kept the camera crew shooting the whole thing. Too bad only the Flemish and the Dutch can enjoy this show, because it certainly matches the best British comedy. It aired first several years ago and ran for only two seasons because the director didn't want to milk the format; a rare breed. Another series from the same director, called 'The Island', could be considered the Flemish version of The Office, which first aired coincidentally around the same time The Office started its run. Also highly recommendable. It's being aired again on Sunday nights. In any case, it's great to see this segment was so realistic it had you guys fooled. Shows just how good the show really is...

An allegedly true story from an Arsenal season-ticket holder.

His season-ticket last year was an absolute plum seat half way up the Highbury main stand close to the half-way line. In other words, a TV camera style view.

Anyway, after the first few games of the season it became apparent that despite all the home games being sold out, the two seats on his left were always empty. This continued until just after Christmas when all of a sudden a guy and his young son appeared there.

After a few weeks of sitting next to this guy and his son, he decided to ask if the guy knew why the seats had been empty for half the season. The response is legendary:

'Yeah don't even go there mate. The wife bought me and my son a season ticket but decided it would be a nice idea to give us them for Christmas. I was f***in' raging!'

@ Ahráyeph - To be fair I didn't know it was Flemmish but I knew it was a joke!!! I know plenty of people who thought it was real though so your right, shows how good it is!

For the Dutch speaking only, I fear, but this might be one of the best 'In De Gloria' sketches EVER!
