James Ray said to me a while ago, that not all of the tracks are complete, some are just in bits.


Id guess if the recent re-issues are a sucess then maybe a re release of gift with this corrosion may happen.

Id certianally rather hear it on an official release

as far as i know there are 2 distinct "tc sisterhood demos":

A. Early Hull demo - the one presumably referred to here. a short fragment of the song without chorus or anything, highly embryonic, under 3 minutes. apparently it was recorded both 1) from the mixing desk and 2) "under someone's coat" so to speak. So 2 versions of this demo exist, the only difference being quality. This is the rarer of the two as far as i know. the other one is:

B. Later Hull demo - six versions (see earlier post in this thread). only mixing desk versions exist. robin and a few other people have this one. no one trades it.

I said it in another topic some time ago, can't remember which one. But is the sheer existance of these recordings an established fact? I mean, James Ray is no stranger to us. Is his part in this story clear? Did somebody ask him about it? I read here about a cassette for his room mate Andrew, is that confirmed?
Which of course doesn't answer the question whether somebody has these recordings or not. But it's a start.

The verison I have is a 8 min 45 sec rough studio demo (but very good quality) with vocals from Andrew Eldritch recorded in Hull.
I know this because I was recording in the same studio @ the time.
