RIP Saddam Hussein

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Okay, did as you asked, itnAklipse.
The first hit spells "TILT"!
Frank Weltner wrote:Ahhh. Well, that's too bad. You Jews killed my Slavic relatives. You must take the heat for it.

Want the names? Trotsky (Bronstein), Yagoda, Kaganovich. For others, check Jew Watch. You will be amazed. Lots of names. Lots of dates. Lots of places where they heartlessly massacred white little boys and girls with blonde hair and blue innocent eyes.
Any further questions?

Not a white supremacist? Think twice!

Germany is still the source of the evil that causes all the turmoil at the middle east. Not today´s generation of Germans, but a part of our ancestors which we are ashamed of. Without Hitler and his supporters the need for a country for the members of a religion that were to get slayed for being who they were in a manner that is unprecedented in history, there would have been no Israel.
I visited museums where slippers made of human hair were displayed.
The people with their prisoner number tatooed on their arm are a fact.
That was hair of Jews or other KZ victims. Only one example.
As said, the evidence is there. You can visit Dachau, Bergen-Belsen and whichever, they still exist.
F A C T S.
Now erses like that Weltner tell we, who know these facts, were lying.
If you support voices like his you spit into the face of every holder of a german passport. That includes my friend Rachid who was born in Morocco and has been a german since september.
And I will defend his reputation as well as mine.
Germany has become a place where everybody has a chance to live in peace. (And let´s remember that a lot of young Americans, Britains and Russians and so many more died for that!!!)
Unless some nazis spill up their ruminated lumps again and go on a flycatching m*****n..
That includes erses like Ahmadinedjad. They intend to do good?
Good and evil are relative terms. A steak is good for you, but ask the cow..
Replace these terms with constructive/destructive.
The word "holy" stems from "heal". The destructive part becomes "unholy".
This replacement works in german as well, and gives back an absolute meaning to "holy" so it does make sense again. But unfortunately the destructive character of many portions of those holy scriptures then shows their unholyness..

@IZ: Killer quote!! Bingo! Or may I say another Bingo?

It´s so obvious what people you are quoting, itn. DO think twice.
Sultan, what do you think about my idea on good and evil?

I don't even see it as a bingo :| It makes me sad that some people are so easily misled by these conspiracy theories...

I have been to Dachau myself, BTW. And it was NOT the special effects or the well-positioned lightning that made it one of the most horrible experiences I ever witnessed.

And that was 60 years AFTER the real horror took place.

I just want to say one thing: a country that condemns murder, yet murders itself, is a hypocrite and should not be able to condemn its people for something it itself does.

edit - I just saw the picture on page one of Saddam with the noose around his neck and it made me feel sick. WTF is this? Are we still living in the days of the Old Testament or something?

Absolutely right!
And how do you retaliate 100 000 deaths to a single man?
Kill 100 000 singles?

am not going to get into the rights, wrongs or whatever...and i don't feel like having a nice discussion about the subject...

Saddam Hussein was hanged by the neck until dead...i for one won't miss him...but the reprisals and terror on the streets of Iraq are no doubt gonna get worse...so more innocent people will die...

i don't think that was a fair trade...his death is a high price...too high IMHO
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

What I need to know is did they, his executioners, cut his goolies off first?

Unless his pain threshoold is higher than John Rambos I don't think so James. He certainly didn't give anything away. His expression wasn't one of 's**t, they've lopped me balls off.' - It was more one of 'Oh dear, this is it.' :urff:

Hmm ... I'm a Chel$ea fan/HLer, so the mantra 'you all hate us/hate me' works for the feeble-minded.

I have alot of time for Dei (itna ...umm itakls ...umm iata;k ...umm, Journi!) through trading. So what, he's a Finnish poetry hippy who drinks too much vodka and speaks his mind. And ..?

He is permitted to express his opinion without being accused of trollisim. And all the other-isms that are now starting to appear on this thread.

I've lived most of my life in England. Inherrently, most English are racist. Fact.

I now live my life in Deutschland. Most Deutsche are still inherrently Nazis. Fact.

But all that does, is make us all racists/fascists by a different name. I'm sure there's no immigrant problems (and reaction to) in Holland or Belguim or France? And no one on the HL board has an opinion on that situation?

Kids, we try to deal with it as best as we can within the circumstances/constraits we can/we have.

So let's all stop making cheap comments (with no substance) and try to have a debate. Factual information is cool as well (but very labourious to read) so maybe no more 'clickys'.

@ IZ - Yes, sense

@ eotunun - Yes, I understand

Once again, a read-thro, without understanding what I'm trying to say, and making a cheap comment. Debate is healthy.

I think the debate is about Nationalism and Identity?

And can they exist, side by side, without being called a racist or a Nazi (believe me the word does exist in the vocabulary; especially where I live) and being proud of your country?

I believe so.

The President of the United States, our Commander-in-Chief is safe tonight after a harrowing brush with a weather report. This afternoon, as the President and Laura Bush sat safely in their massive home at the President’s ranch in Crawford, TX, the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning. The Secret Service responded immediately by telling the President and Mrs. Bush to gather their little yapper dogs and go outside and wait in the car. Which they did. No, Really.

Sadam Hussein, the former President of Iraq was not so lucky. To start with, his weather tonight was right around freezing, with a light NW breeze. In the second place, he was hung by the neck until dead. And so we close a chapter in a book we all hope is nearing its end.

The President of Iran, Mahmood, Ahmadinezhad, or Moe as I like to call him, seems hell-bent on the eradication of the State of Israel and Jews in general, the development of Weapons of Mass Destruction including an arsenal of nuclear weapons, and Global Domination. After that, he wants to throw Christians to the lions and, I suppose, go to Disneyland.

Kim Jong Il, the President of North Korea just got his first nukes, and word is he would sell them on Ebay if he had better feedback. It is also rumored he would sell them in the NY Times , but his entire country is worth less than the price of a three-line Times classified ad.

Fidel Castro, President of Cuba for the last two hundred years, is dying. He isn’t just dying. He isn’t dying like Saddam died (Hey Saddam, can you come here a sec.? This won’t take long…) Castro is Dying. Like Timothy Leary died in the 90’s. Slowly. Visibly. With Drama. When he does, everyone will be better off, yes? Probably not. His brother Raul, who is a clinically insane sadist with a low I.Q. will be taking the wheel.

And Momar Kadafi, the President of Libya, a guy who used to hang with Ugandan dictator Idi Amin (famous for eating human flesh, freezer full of young ‘un filets) is now the Chairman of the United Nations Human Rights Commision.

Well, with world leadership of this caliber, we should be fine. No reason to panic.

2007 is looking like a great year! :|

That was a motherfocker of storm; or more accurately, wave after wave after wave of storms, including a 1/4 mile wide tornado down in his neck of the woods. Seriously, this thing was a monster. We had high winds (horizontal rain for a little while), torrential rains, an average 4000 lightning strikes an hour (according to a local newscaster) and quarter sized hail (if you're not familiar with American currency, that's pretty big for hailstones). The whole thing was really bizarre and brutal for this time of year. My poor cat was terrified, and a few people died. Ah, Texas...

Johnny, I have no idea where you live in Germany nor with what kind of people you surround yourself.
It is this little difference between being a nazi and being able to be proud of your country without being a nazi that the Germans are struggeling for the past 5 decades. Remarks such as yours are not helping in that matter escpecially coming from a "newly" German who obviously hasnt got a clue what a sentence like that means.

I actually must wonder why you have been so quiet for such a long time and then feel the need for a re-appearance to help your satanist/nazi/whatever-adverse-opinion-is-currently-en-vogue -trader friend.

I thought better of you. Honestly.

That was almost to the word what was going around in my head when I read his post.

Only the last sentence, I would add a couple of words; "I thought better of you. A couple of years ago, anyway".

Every time he wet his rock he crawled under ages ago, he emerges again. And it smells.

And as a matter of fact, read my post again if it makes so much sense, Johnny.

You want discussions and a debate? You think it is boring to wave facts? Ask your Finnish poetry-friend to stay off the vodka for a minute then so that he can start reading OUR end of the almost non-existent discussion. Then I, for one will stop calling him a troll and just stop at calling him a bastard ;)

He's doing a monologue and shuns all discussion by accusing us of being indoctrinated and wearing eye-patches. That's trolling.

Anf if you think most English are Racist and most Germans are Nazis nowadays, maybe that tells more about the environs you hang around in than about people in general...

And if I remember your postings correctly, I'll end with a   ...

This is really f**ked up.

Multan - A young boy who tried to copy hanging scenes from the execution video of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein died in central Pakistan, said police on Monday.

Mubashar Ali, 9, hanged himself, while re-enacting Hussein's hanging with the help of elder sister, 10, after tying a rope to a ceiling fan and his neck in his home in Rahim Yar Khan district on Sunday, said a local police official.

The father of the deceased boy said that his children had been watching the video of Saddam Hussein's execution on television and attempted to imitate the hanging as other family members thought they were playing in another room.

"My wife and sister rushed to rescue Mubashar when children cried for help from the adjoining room, but he died due to hanging," said Alamgir Paracha, father of Mubashar.

Police said that the death was accidental and a case of parental negligence.

"It was an accident which happened due to carelessness of parents," said district police chief Sultan Ahmad.

Images of the fallen Iraqi dictator with a strap around his neck, surrounded by executioners in balaclavas, were repeatedly telecast by Pakistani television channels at the weekend.

Commentators and the media across Europe had expressed shock and unease on Sunday at graphic television pictures showing the last moments of Hussein just before his execution.

Blimey. Although I don't know why I'm surprised that this topic has thrown up a bit of shît.

For the record, I don't think executing Saddam like that was a good idea. If nothing else it makes him into a martyr; on the other hand, he would have become a rallying point if left alive.

The trial was laughable, a kangaroo court show-trial that didn't they even dare show on live TV; the footage had to be heavily edited to make even a pretence of impartiality.

For the wider issue, as I'm sure people have noticed, I hold no brief for the USA's foreign policy, or for Israel's.

But the philosophy of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" which itnAklipse seems to be promoting can lead down some very dangerous paths; ****? Are you serious? :urff:

My thoughts exactly. And the executioners - if that audio track that is accompanying the footage is genuine - were f**king shocking choices.
