Most played tracks of 2006

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

This year's been filled with surf and garage rock, and more recently reggae. Good stuff, always helps to have one's horizons broadened. :notworthy:

I tend to listen to whole albums, rather than individual tracks (it's an OCD CD thing).

In terms of groups - Yat-Kha and Voltaire saw a lot of play time this year.

New discoveries (for me) Rammstein and Laibach made a welcome appearance. Likewise Wolfsheim, and to a lesser degree, Clan of Xymox and Dresden Dolls.

The new album I've listened to most this year is probably the Nephilim's 'Mourning Sun'.

Getting heavy rotation on The Corleone jukebox this year has been;

The Editors - The Back Room
Neverland (A lifetime)
The re-issue of FALAA
Scratch Perry - Time Boom X
FOTN - DawnRazor
Baby Beethovan.
A lot of Echo & The Bunnymen (courtousy of Glasgows finest)
& a catchy accoustic version of Up The Junction by the bloke from Squeeze. :urff:[/b]

aye...it's a top album and is a close call with The Cult's Love after their Return To Wild tour :notworthy:

Ooh, last time I'd forgotten about Greg Dulli's latest single:
The Twilight Singers feat Mark Lanegan: Live with me (actually a cover of Massive Attack's latest song).

It was only released at the end of november, but it's a hit on these Jamaican shores! Massive airplay!! Classic to be!!!
