Kingston Poly 30 June 83

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

I have a cassette of Kingston Poly 30 June 83 and I can hear all these vinyl sounds like needle up/down, run in/out, pops and the odd skip.

Setlist seems right, but I've never seen or heard of a vinyl bootleg of this gig. Can anyone provide any info?

I've never heard of it being made as a vinyl.
To make sure it really is the correct gig, here's what Eldritch says between songs to make sure you have the right gig.

(2 drumbeats. presumably gig started with Kiss The Carpet but it's missing from the recording.) Thank You. This is all about ????

(Alice)

Thanks. It sounds better when we've got the PA on doesn't it. It's not ??? PA, there's nothing I can do about that. ?????

(Anaconda)

Thanks. I'm having difficulty moving up here cos theres hippies coming across underneath my feet and everytime I move backwards the PA goes bang. Thus. Otherwise. This is Burn.

(Burn)

Thanks. I dunno, I dunno. Heartland.

(Heartland. drum machine starts playing the intro to Burn right at the end)

?????? (guy in audience- Turn it up!) (girl in audience- Mike Read) We cut out the slow ones tonight. (girl- It is Mike Read) ?????? that one.
(Note: Mike Read was a Radio 1 DJ, or do they mean the Eastenders actor Mike Reid?)

(Adrenochrome)

Thanks. (shouts from audience for Jolene) Seem to be making the highlights(?) tonight. This is called Floorshow.

(Floorshow)

Gimme Shelter.

(Gimme Shelter)

We played Jolene for the last time yesterday, we haven't played 1969 for a very long time. We haven't played this for a long time.

(Sister Ray)

length: 33 min

Thanks Dan, it's definitely Kingston Polytechnic. The volume is very low and the sound isn't too clear. Pity, 'cause I think it's a particularly good gig. How's your copy?

My copy is pretty good I spose.

While we're on the subject of Kingston Poly, there's an Interview recorded before the gig, but my copy ends suddenly mid-sentence at around 21 minutes. Does anyone have a complete version, or is this all there is?
