NEW!? Album
If does have a new album ready to go, "as and when" and he has been touting the major record companys, won't this require demos to be pressed/burned onto a media format of one type of the other? How else can the new songs be demo'd to the A/R guys?........
Not as good as Motorhead, but better than The Birthday Party, which makes us pretty damn good.

If they still have a good friendship, that would be the best solution, VOn paying royalties to Adam, and then we are sure to have Summer in the albumnowayjose wrote:Why is that so? Well, I meant, does need Adam's permission to release something Adam wrote? Or would he just have to pay royalties if he does so. The legal situation is unclear to me.doctoravalanche wrote:If they still have a good friendship, that would be the best solution, VOn paying royalties to Adam, and then we are sure to have Summer in the albumnowayjose wrote:Why is that so? Yeah, likewise. Jess knows about these things. Jessnowayjose wrote:Well, I meant, does need Adam's permission to release something Adam wrote? Or would he just have to pay royalties if he does so. Nope this is the promoter who pays the auhtor rights for a concert.robertzombie wrote:Does Andrew have to pay Adam royalties for performing the songs live?
i know that he has had the new(?) song lyrics published by EMI, and that Adam only wrote the music to a couple of them.. Mike wrote the music to Susanne, but the music can be changed, like he has done with the older stuff.
Not as good as Motorhead, but better than The Birthday Party, which makes us pretty damn good.
don't even think about changing "Susanne" it's a perfect song and a done song, nothing to add nothing to odd.
I don't think the problem here is Mike though. Von's already given us a version of Susanne, so obviously Mike - even after his departure - is cool with that.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Mr Pearson needs to give his permission for the release of his songs. And regardless of being friends or not (friendship isnt a relevant legal matter in international law and even less in the music business ) a part of the royalities belong to Mr. Pearson. (it is not exactly Eldritch who would have to pay them though.)Hom_Corleone wrote:Yeah, likewise. Jess knows about these things. what live shows are concerned, Eldritch can perform every song he likes, regardless of his author. It's called "covering".

The problem is, IMO, Von's desire to release recordings purely for $, rather than the simple pleasure of releasing recordings for the sheer merry hell of it (allowing us the fans to buy enough copies to make the thing a hit and a $ earner anyway)
'spose it's hard to go back to the chemists once you've done Top of the Pops though!
