Alas, Ms. South Carolina is not on her own - I went out with a bird on Friday night who referred to Wild Bill Hickok as Wild Bill Hitchcock. Slip of the tongue, I supposed. A little later we were talking about sex, and I mentioned that it was no surprise that pandas had difficulty reproducing, given where they lived.
"What do you mean?" she asked?
"Well, where do pandas live?"
"In China."
"Right - and what sort of political system do they have in China?"
"Oh, it's on the tip of my tongue - I know it's an -ism."

(incidentally, pandas don't reproduce because they live in a communist society that doesn't believe in personal wealth. Without personal wealth, pandas are unable to buy Marvin Gaye's 'Sexual Healing', without which seduction is impossible. Quite apart from the fact that even if pandas had money, they don't have any pockets to put it in. They're doomed, I tell you...)
