"While we're waiting for the next one to arrive!"

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

That just gets me "download_counter.asp"

Maybe I must change the extension?

Nope, that didn't work. I renamed it slept.mp3, but it remains a .asp file.

Check Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files after you listened to the song. It will show up there.

Well, it did for me. FF 2.0 here.

There's also another way. Open the file in your browser, wait for it to fully load and then select ''Save page as''. I'm using the latest install of firefox and it worked for me, but probably the same principle is valid for any other browser. 8)

Go to Tools | Options | Content, in the "File Types" group box click on the "Manage" button, select "MP3" (if it's there more than once, repeat this for every occurrance of it), click on the "Change Action" button, then select "Save them on My Computer" as the action.

Works on FF 2, don't know about earlier versions.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Not on your life. They're overpriced and I like being able to fix things (computers, air conditioners, kittens, etc) myself. If I had the time I'd be a Linux geek, but, er....I like talking to girls.

I don't really like either of 'em, actually.

Agree with James on the Mac, if it wasn't fer the money, but Quicktime is one of the biggest pests around.

No other (simple and/or free) proggie supports the MOV format, so you HAVE to install QT, and it nests in every nook and cranny of your memory

Don't send me MOV's for I won't be able to open them and I refuse to install QT.

Here is the link to the newer version. We haven't changed much, just the bass and a bit on the vocals.

Version 1 can be heard on our website in the Sounds section.

Let us know which one you guys prefer :D

Took me 3 or 4 attempts to get the full thing down, it kept on crapping out partway through.

Will let you know as soon as I've had a listen.

OK, listened to, and loved. The drums seem more prominent on this version too - nice one Rob!

Only thing I can think of that needs improvement is the ending - it's still fairly abrupt.

And here, for anyone having trouble with Rob's link, is another place you can get it: http://download.yousendit.com/95F696AD559476BA

I like this Come Together. My only criticism (f*cking do it yourself I hear you say) is that the recording level on the vocals seems to be set too high so its a bit distorted.

Apart from that, wonderful

Beeek! Error, Sir Izbert!
I use Mplayer on Linux and have no problem watching .mov files!
I wouldn't be surprised if VLC Lan Player or Media Player Classic did so, too.

VLC would play a digestive biscuit if you inserted one, it's still my player of choice
