Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

In your garden??? Bloody hell, that's the coolest thing ever! Brilliant pic Lil Sister, I don't think I 'd ever get beyond the 'ooooh a lizard' stage, never mind grabbing my camera. Was gutted not to spot a single one in Croatia, I thought the place would be overrun with them.

yes, I know what you mean - and they are fast. I was just lucky that I was just taking pictures of something when he decided to show up

 Yeah, I guess you can't really train the little buggers to stroll casually into the frame as and when required. Even sunsets have a tendency to have totally changed light-wise by the time I've stopped going 'oooooh, pretty lights' and actually gone in for the camera.

LOL @Ravey Davey! :P

Lovely pic, Steven - I especially love how the blue-grey sky contrasts with the red bits on the front of the building... ;D

To be fair, it was a bit more dilapidated then - it's recently been privately bought and extensively refurbished.

how it was left to get in such a state in the first place beggers Blast's belief

Does tend to happen to a lot of old Deco buildings... they need good maintenance or else they do start to look a bit s**t. Combination of the building materials, the fact they're often painted white, and the Glasgow weather of course... :|

My one regret was NOT taking a pic flying to Leningrad (as twas then) and passing over the Nordic ice fjords early evening.
As the plane banked they just opened up beneath us, glowing and sparkling. Wish I'd grabbed one, I really do.

So yep, TimSin, we are indeed digging that pic!

Ocht! well, since the only pieces I have scanned are some of my 'in concert' stuff and it's been a while, plus some of you are new(ish) or may have just missed my family jewels: #1

It was a beautiful accident. I'd randomly got a window seat, happened to have a camera in my hand-luggage, and flew at just the right time, altitude and weather for it. I'd love to claim I'd planned it all!

Cheers guys. :D
