'Hot Metal and Methedrine Vol 2' cd on ebay

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Did anyone notice this cd(cdr?) compliation on ebay last week?

(#150153989156)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :RTQ:UK:11

It has a song called Fatherland and another called Tainted Love - both allegedly sung by the Sisters.

The seller insisted that Fatherland is a mix of a Sisters song with a Cassandra Complex one - I thought it might be Eldo's remix of the Die Krupps song Fatherland? He also said Tainted Love was definitely sung by Eldo......

Anyone able to shed any further light?

The Good Things 'morphine mix' i have heard elsewhere and i couldn't see any differences between it and the usual 1982 demo version.
Is this the place I used to know as Fatherland?

Fatherland should be the Die Krupps mix. There isn't a TSOM song called Fatherland.

Tainted Love is not by the sisters. I've seen it going round on P2P networks, it's an awful cover, dunno who the band are.

Bollocks. Fatherland on Die Krupps' 'The Final Remixes' album is remixed by "Andrew Eldritch of The Sisters of Mercy & Rodney Orpheus of The Cassandra Complex".

I'll have to get it whizz through again at the weekend! Maybe the trader just taped me the normal version by mistake

Also appears on the following CDs by Die Krupps:
'Rings Of Steel', 'Fatherland' and one version of 'Odyssey Of The Mind'.
Maybe somewhere else, I got these 4.

There are god knows how many demos of Good Things, but of the ones I've got, there are "Basement Demo" (poor recording), "Demo" (normal speed, played at gigs like this) and "First Demo" or "Morphine Mix" or any other name you care to give it (slower tempo, different recording, slightly different ending).
