couple of hours downtime @ approx 2pm today

Updates on forum status, bug fixes, etc. If there's something new in here its probably a good idea that you read it.

there will be a couple of hours of downtime this afternoon while i move the HL database

i shall be taking HL offline at about 2pm this afternoon (in about 45 mins) but i dont expect the downtime to last much more than a couple of hours :)

that should remove the phpbb critical errors once and for all... :o

it all went surprisingly well

- took the forum off line
- telnet'ed into the old servers and ran the backup script
- telnet'ed into the new servers and ftp'd the backup file across
- imported the backup script into the new database
- changed the forum config file to look at the new database
- put the forum back on line
- have a swig of tea ;D

total time bout 17 mins... phew :lol:
