Ebay copied CDs warning.

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Warning: Newcomers posting here first will be treated like spammers. At least have the courtesy to say hello in General Chat first...

Just a little warning to all of you Sisters-fanatics.
A certain Venezuela-guy, going by the nick 'Rogeliomiret' is selling copies from Sisters boots. I already sent an abuse to eBay. If you respect the eBay policies, please do not buy from him. He calls them 'non silver pressed CDs'.

Normally I let this stuff go by.
Sell a pressed boot on eBay, okay. Nice for the collectors with too much money on their hands.
Sell an occasional copy on eBay from a never pressed boot, I can live with that too.
But blatantly sell 27 (!) illegal copies from pressed boots... NOT!
Here are his warez...

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V ... =3&rows=50

I'm not pretending I'm a saint and stuff, but this is way over the top... :x :x

IZZY.

If this guy is dodgy, does anyone know where I could get a good copy of the "Visions At The Forum" CD he's advertising? I'm not usually a boot person (hence lack of knowledge!!) but would like this one as I was at the gig.

I've got an original silver CD of that. I'll happily do you a copy if you'd rather not have mp3s (though it must be said the sound is not the best!) Be a little while though as it's currently in storage until we actually move into our new place later this month...

Seeing as The Sisters haven't released anything for 10 years and play a lot of unreleased songs at gigs, can anyone be blamed for bootlegging? I don't think so. I certainly don't agree with making money out of it, but I can't see anything wrong with swapping or weeding. If anything it's keeping The Sisters alive, it sure made me go back to gigs after I heard the "new" songs. And its great to weed/swap with other fans.
To not know and to ask a question is a moment of embarrassment; to not know and not ask is a lifetime of shame.

you weed/trade/swap because you want someone else to be able to hear it too, you sell because you want money...

And if you do not understand THAT difference, try economics school.
And read my posts now and then. Thoroughly. :!:
It's no fake moralism at all. Bootlegs are no prob for me (hell, I've 150 meself!), but selling over 30 COPIES from bootlegs is just easy and dirty money. And trying to get away with it on eBay is fecked up. These people make sites like eBay the rotten place it's becoming recently...
Sorry if I offend someone here, usually I do not get upset easily, but on these matters I do. :?

swapping a cdr = no profit

selling 10 cdr's of some badly recorded demos with laser printed covers for up to £300 a piece to some stupid fools

Can you spot the difference?

But what does it matter to anyone what someone else's motives for whatever are? "He who hath the how is careless of the why"...maybe that explains something ;)

dei, after half a bottle of french red wine as normally he would not be partaking in these morality discussions, strictly as an amoralist

Exactly. It's only that people like to judge, according to their own disposition.

I've been at record fairs when someone has been selling cd-r's of Sisters gigs for £20 a piece, and it was stuff I didn't have. I walked on by.

My first boot was one I got off ebay for a lot of money.

I say more power to them, as some ppl do not want to trade with newbies as myself. Case in point:

Got a mail at the Cult site I go to about Sulpher boots. Well Miss Boot Trader didn't want to trade with me when she learnt I had only purchased music. Nice, isn't that? I got a Cult vid for postage costs....now That was Really NICE. I don't always believe it's got to be....for free.

Jesus Christ...do any of you know how much I've spent trading Sisters stuff here? And I am not done as I am sending my entire collection to a friend I met here. It's not FREE here, and its not FREE at ebay.

Now tell me ....What the f**k is the difference..?????

Or maybe it 's that your anticapitalist? Well, my friends....greed is good.
Never believe otherwise...

Maybe that's why I'll be joining SG in HELL :D :D :D :D :D

Bad girls have more fun!!!!!!
