Bangin' ch00nz of the Year 2007

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I tend to do full albums rather than individual choons so hope you don't mind me perverting the course of justice.

My big 6 for my album of the year:-

Angels of Light - "We Are Him"
Ben Frost - "Theory of Machines"
Burial - "Untrue"
Einstürzende Neubauten - "Alles Wieder Offen"
Porcupine Tree - "Fear Of A Blank Planet"
The Threshold HouseBoys Choir - "Form Grows Rampant"

Honourable mentions go to:-

Agua de Annique - "Air"
Akercocke - "Antichrist"
Machine Head - "The Blackening"
Neurosis - "Given To The Rising"
Nine Inch Nails - "Year Zero"
Paul Hartnoll - "The Ideal Condition"
Recoil - "subHuman"
Sigur Rós - "Hvarf-Heim"
The Young Gods - "Super Ready Fragmente"
Blackfield - "Blackfield 2"

As years go, it wasn't half bad, considering they were all new albums this year......
