yes it´s a pity. a taper friend of mine told me yestarday that he was fool for sharing madrid, Barcelona(first night) and lorca 07 ,that if he would have known that people do this he wouldn´t have shared those recording..

and the taper that recorded bilbao audio and his brother that recorded whit a video camera don´t want to share them.
it´s sad because bilbao recording has great quality and it´s nice to hear the people singing happy birthday eldritch... and the dvd is stunning

As i, and others, have stated in other threads before, then why talk about it if no one has any possibility of getting to it? Keep it to yourself, listen to it to your heart's content, and be happy no one has it if that rocks your boat. It turns dishonest and unpleasant when one needs make statements about it.

And a lot of tapers do even share their recordings, which makes me wonder if the Bilbao guy doesn't take recordings that other people do share?
Or does he not trade with anyone other people's recordings?

Nothing wrong with doing what he wants, just that making statements about how "i have this and that but NO ONE will never get to it because i have chips on my shoulder"...well, i don't like it. That's my prerogative, and he is under no compulsion to consider what i think of him at all.

(This just to voice an opposing point of view to those who think his behaviour is good).

And i don't think many of Paul's recordings have gotten into the weeding/sharing circus but remain not the easiest ones to obtain even by trading, cause most of them have remained in the hands of people who have rather large collexions already. And that again, my friends, is entirely fine in my opinion.

all the recordings that i got i shared-wedded-traded them(madrid,barcelona,lorca)

althought the taper of those is not happy for the reason that he could have keept for herselve and he didn´t, like other people do.....

the case of bilbao taper is different,he was traing to get some 2006 rare recordings and all the replyes were NO or NO REPLYES, and the ones that answered, didn´t ask about if he has a rare recording or trying to email him again so HE IS ANGRY AND WON´T SHARE.

with "exactly" I wasn't trying to say "2 thumbs up for rubbing it into people's faces". I was coming more from a "who gives a s**t" angle.

in my opinion it is perfectly fine to record and not to share. people should be happy about the stuff that gets shared and not bitch about the shows that don't. like I have said many times before, there's always the option of recording something yourself.

Ok, fair point, and true...but i tell you, this collecting-disease isn't that easy to shake off But i'm new compared to many of you, so i'll learn in time to not give so much of a s**t... As for now, getting something new and fine to my collexion simply makes me happy.

People are a bit too free with other peoples recordings though, aren't they. From what you said above you've upset the taper - who is also a friend of yours, by handing his stuff out in a way he hadn't intended. Ultimately it ends up with people seeing what goes on here and hanging onto their recordings or only trading with other tapers who appreciate the effort it takes and have a bit of respect for peoples wishes. The [SISTERS_TAPERS] list has never been busier than on the 2006 tour.

no. i didn´t upset my friend. when i shered-traded- weeded those recording was because he let me do it. but if he has to do it nowdays he dosn´t

actually I do understand him even less now. what's he complaining about? that he can't get trades for his material? everybody turns him down? first of all, I doubt it. and secondly: boohoo

I could and would perfectly well respect his point of view would he be a taper that records with artist's permission, like I personally do since the early 90s. In most cases he would risk his relationship with the artists would he let out his stuff just like that. because sooner or later it ends up on ebay and then he'd be in a p*ss poor situation of having to do some explaining. but no, he is 'just' a stealth taper, so what could possibly be his respectable point here...??!!

To be honest, Stilton probably goes much better with red than my fancy Austrian (As do other plainer cheeses, like Dutch Edam)

As for accompaniment, if you don't care to send me both so i could make the authoritative choise for you, videos usually go well, don't they? (Even in cases when you might have something else to look at on the side..) Especially those that exist!

So for me it'll be Heidelberg-90, run of the mill maybe yeah, but just got a shiny new transfer
