NEW RULES: One thread per day only. If there's a thread for today already started, post on that. And if there isn't? Then you get to start one. Aren't you the lucky one?
As far as I got it it's the confusion of the words "forth" and "fourth". Moses didn't come fourth, he came third, so all he got was a teapot as prize.
Correct?

I think the reason why he didn't get a better prize was the fact that he didn't obbey the word of God. God told him to come fourth, not third. So, because of Moses' arrogance, all he got was a tea pot.
God gets all annoyed about little details as petty as eating the wrong fruit...

What if he didn't have an oven, just a microwave?
Do you think Moses would be a Tesco or Sainsburys type of guy?

That depends on the perspective. At the light of the Old Testament, doing your best meant obbey every word from God.
When Eve ate the fruit and gave it to him, was her doing her best? Wasn't she seeking knowlegde? Didn't she share the knowledge with her husband? Isn't that a good thing?
Still, God got really mad and kicked both out of Eden.

So Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden - I hope they kept the receipt for the Teapot
You know, the original text from the OT was:
Adam: "I want a real nice-looking, sensitive and smart counterpart"
God: "OK, but it'll cost you an arm and a leg"
Adam: "What can I get for a rib?"
