I wouldn't even dare to attempt to make contact with him. I get enough humiliation on here without getting it direct from God. Imagine the response you'd get if he was in a bad mood and felt you were invading his privacy. Jeez ...Steve303 wrote:Digging around tonight I stumbled upon this;

Great conversational ice-breaker though:
'Have you met Andrew Eldritch?'
'No. But I'm on his blocked senders list ...'

Loki was never worshiped as the other Gods,
Which is quite understandable.

I'd hazard a guess that if that email addy has gone public, it's prolly no longer valid anyhows.
It would not be wise to contact him. Only band member I've ever made any contact with via the interweb thing is Sonic Boom (ex Spacemen 3) but he's an utter gent, whereas we all know what Von is like.
Nuff said.

Yeah. I make it a rule that all my friends are nice people. Not narcissistic arseholes.

Obviously a fake addy. But nice try.
It does really P*** ME OFF that the "Sisters" / Merciful Release / The Sisters Management etc appear to be unwilling to be contacted any way whatsoever!
For Example If I was a promotor or a venue owner or even rich how the HELL could I hire the "Sisters" to perform at a concert.
Who the HELL does he think he is - Jesus H Christ or something

TSOM would approach Mean Fiddler who would then offer them to whatever venues they think would be willing stump up the cash for them to play there. Looking at the last tour and the amount of gear and transportation and dividing that by the size and number of nights I couldn't quite work out what all the expense was actually for - they weren't pimping any new product and most of the audiences would have purchased previous releases years ago - unless (and this is my hunch) at least one of the gigs was a showcase for a few interested record companies. Economies of scale and all that mean that if you're going to assemble the wherewithall for a gig you might as well make use of all that gear you've hired for the week by playing a few other gigs in the provincesAndyTheGoth wrote: For Example If I was a promotor or a venue owner or even rich how the HELL could I hire the "Sisters" to perform at a concert.

I,ve often wondered this as well. If I was REALY rich could the Sisters be bribed into playing for me.
How much would they cost?, how would I go about reaching them?.
I mean if I threw half a million quid at them and promised I wasn't a goth (no offence! we all know how he feels about that) could I get my own private gig.
Oh the speculations of the poor and idle!
See ya later.

Sigh....Me too. I have the sneaking impression our dear egotistical leader would say NO.zaltys7 wrote:Hi all,

@ ATG: No, Von doesn't think he's Jesus H Christ, He thinks he's GOD!!!
Well we know that they turned down £250,000 for the Whitby festival (or supposedly did).
But surely £500,000 from a private individual at a suitable venue with the bands usual stipulations would be a different kettle of fish.
well I like to think so anyway.
Maybe I should start doing the lottery, I've got about the sames odds of winning as the Sisters have of releasing a new album. Or slightly better odds perhaps. I hope not
Cheers

I was reading an interview with Mike Edwards from Jesus Jones a little while ago. He said that the band make more playing private venues than they do on a whole tour. He quoted something like some conference they were asked to play at either earlier this year or last year to play one or two songs ONLY a night for a week plus all expenses paid 4 star hotel netted them more money than they would have earnt in a full tour.

- either Eldritch has been selling out for quite some time now
or...
- Eldritch doesn't care as much about the goth issue as people like to inflate. (I've heard so many misplaced and misinterpreted quotes already...)

Since Eldo is only after half a million quid to make his record, I'm sure he would play one if not more concerts for that price. In fact, I suspect he would play a whole tour of twelve gigs if he thought he'd clear that kind of money. I'd make a ballpark guess that for a Smoke-and-Mirrors type gig, he'd be doing very well to even make an actual profit of £5,000, or £10,000 max for a stadium gig.
Speaking of private gigs, my stepdad works for Vodafone, and over recent years they've had performances at their annual parties by Kylie, Robbie Williams, Hearsay, S Club 7, Blue, Chrissie Hynde (???), and more or less all the biggest stars of planet pap. I presume they must be paid a LOT of money to do this kind of work. Maybe Eldo should turn recruit four girlies to join the band, and team up with Pete Waterman.
