Sisters played Suikerrock

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. yes, but you have to understand it is only a part time journalist and Gothic fan to begin with.
it still is very well written but I can imagine he starts from a different point of view as other journalists might..... :?

Ok, I didn't know that. It supports my opinion though that you can only write well about what you know.
it was published in a not scene related magazine(website) so thats a start isn't it :)

good that you meant that! it's what i mean too...it was an amazing gig and it has been for a year or two...the belgium landscape is good for them! but then again so was paris....

belgium Suikerrock was just an absolute star gig no ways about it! ;D

Look up "pedestrian" in the dictionary and you will surely find a picture of their sorry mugs. By the end of the set I was so throroughly depressed I nearly imploded.

Well I quite liked them overall, although I did expect something a bit less cosy, given the name. I suppose I class them as easy listening rather than rock'n'roll, so their failure to rock doesn't really bother me. Then again, I've never been averse to dad rock in small doses, and that's where the Scabs went wrong. They overstayed their welcome by a long shot and dragged out the 2nd last song till I lost track of the cheese and false endings :evil:

I liked them as well, the Scabs are your average rock'n'roll oldies, ideal for a warm festival evening somewhere nice, holding a beer and smiling. Although the 'Robbing a Liquor Store'- Long Version was sooo rock-cliché it almost made me gag (left vs right? That's sooo Neil Diamond!)...
