Worst Sisters songs.

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

i feel free to disagree with Claire (and i'm sorry) but i feel SKOS, Possession, NWN, Lights, Body and Soul....Emma, Gimme Shelter (although are not Sisters songs) as the best lyrics and songs the Sisters ever pududced. all the best live shows i heard are from the 84/85 and the best songs versions are fromthat era shows.
the words, Andrew's voice and the music are the higher point of the Sisters and every new line-up....and the years made the rest to get the Sisters in what they actually are....an average live band that still lives in what it was

Other than Home of the Hitmen and, occasionally Watch, I can't think of any others I skip over. There's at least one lyric in every song that appeals to me on some level. Sign of a great lyricist?

Not sure it was strictly the lyrical content, but more the melodramatic presentation of them in terms of melody that Claire was talking about.
Personally I adore the whole of FALAA however tuneless the vocals get.
One Sisters song I can really do without though is Romeo Down.
Sounds like an ad-lib from start to finish.

I am waiting with baited breath for Claire's version of SKOS though.

:notworthy: its funny when i became a sisters fan I listened too some music on my sisters computer and also that song and i said to her "thats not andrew singing!" and she said: "no it says its from the sisters",.... then i searched a little bit on the internet and thought: "ok maybe i`ts really him..." and i was a really impressed how he could make his voice sound soo much different...
but i was not suprised that its not from the sisters...

by the way my username is not inspired by this song but because i have many (3) older siblings - so i am the little sister... and i liked the song little sister by queens of the stone age around the time i registrated here :D

Was just reading some of the posts in this thread and am a bit shocked. Why is YCBTO so hated? The song is fun & it rocks! You also don't need a college education to get the meaning

Personally, there isn't any TSOM song that I could live without, but that's just me! I love or like them all, for 1 reason or another.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
