The Last Dance + Rhombus + Legion, Leeds, 16/10/08

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Excellent gig last night! I even made the effort to write a full review on LJ, although inevitably I'm too lazy to link to it.

Fortunately I'm not too lazy to link to elsewhere in this forum where you can find out where you can see Legion next!

Well firstly I'd like to chip in that it was a pleasure working with Rhombus, as much as it was to see them live for the second time. Always a garentee of a tight and enjoyable set when Rhombus are on the bill, and I know I'm not the only one that was impressed.

The Last Dance were brillient people and they played a full on and highly enjoyable set. The whole gig would have benifted from a better laid out venue (stage!) and a weekend date, none the less it was great - enough people having enough fun to really make it a great night out just from an audience point of view.

As for us...

We really enjoyed getting up there and playing. We had a few tech troubles (especially with the guitars) and you can certainly expect a longer set at the Friday Flock gig (probably not Jolene ;) Although Shelley and I can do it as a vocal/keyboaurd duet). I was dead chuffed as hell at how many people turned up to watch us play, and even more pleased that so many people enjoyed the set. Cheers for your input Paul, we'll put it towards making November 7th a concert and a half!

For my own part I was a little thrown by the bloody great pillar in the middle of the stage, but such is life - we're reheasing hard and I'm just looking forward to getting up there again and again and ironing out the creases.

All in all, we're feeling incredabley optimistic and hope to see you all in Novemeber.
