I used to trade alot of bootleg tapes in the mid '80's, and recently re-discovered the following 12 off TDK D90's when sorting through some boxes in the loft (which were either bought at record fairs or traded) :
1st + 2nd gigs Leeds 81 + collection of live covers
Brixton Ace Cinema (mixer) 6.4.83
London ULU (mixer) 6.5.83
Brussels Plan K 27.8.83
London Electric Ballroom 24.5.84
Canadian Radio Interview '84 + Jensen '83 + Peel '84 sessions
Amsterdam Melkweg 2.6.84
Bremen Schlachthof 8.11.84 + Peel '82 session
Portsmouth Guildhall 22/3/85
London Lyceum 25/3/85 + Whistle Test tracks
Long Beach 30.5.85
San Fransisco I-Beam 1.6.85
New York 7.6.85
I saw the Sisters at Portsmouth Guildhall in '85 - and would have purchased/traded the above tapes in 85/86/87.
Is anyone is interested in buying these tapes as a job lot for a token sum?
I am not looking to take the p*ss on the amount - more so just find them a good home (or bin them).
Let me know your thoughts, cheers Pat

And thanks for bringing them here rather than ebaying Pat.

Would be interested in a couple of them but not the whole lot as I have most of these; and I'd prefer to trade rather than buy, which I'm guessing isn't what you're after. Good luck though and thanks for the offer.
Incidentally, might be worth pointing out for the sake of accuracy that the 1/6/85 date was at the Kabuki Theater, not the I-Beam.

Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

Curious to know if this one is legitimate...
Brussels Plan K 27.8.83
I have seen it often traded in the past, but invariably ends up being...
8.5.83 BRUXELLES, MALLEMONT-FESTIVAL
Do you have a track listing for this one?

At the beginning of Valentine Eldritch mumbles 'one song'...MiltonPFC wrote:Is there any between song chat that can identify this as being the 8.5.83 BRUXELLES, MALLEMONT-FESTIVAL tape?
Im happy to have a listen to it when i get in from work tonight to help clarify this
Before Gimme Shelter he says 'Oh oh, here are the cops'...
He's just getting into it more & more

As far as I know the one & only time they played in Belgium in 83 was the Mallemunt gig on the 5th of august.
Several people who were there told me it was a top nite out

Just listened to the tape and the above chat is present - so it is the 8.5.83 BRUXELLES, MALLEMONT-FESTIVAL tape (and not the Plan K tape 27.8.83 tape as the box lists)
ii) "I know that full recording of first gig exists somewhere but it was in york, isn't it? Other side they played leeds at least 9 times in 81 and we've got only 4 tracks from 4th may warehouse, so maybe it's something interesting? Can you post setlist? **
Ok - here is what the cover lists -

Hope that helps clarify things - just ask if u need more info

I have a version of this on cd, which includes the intro to the gig - don't think that the weeded one has this. If anyone's interested in trading me for it, then please pm me!radiojamaica wrote:At the beginning of Valentine Eldritch mumbles 'one song'...MiltonPFC wrote:Is there any between song chat that can identify this as being the 8.5.83 BRUXELLES, MALLEMONT-FESTIVAL tape?

Is this the place I used to know as Fatherland?
yeah, that sounds about right, there is some dire tape music over the PA for about 4 minutes and then the compere introduces the band just before they start up.MiltonPFC wrote:Just FYI - My tape includes the introduction by the compere.
