The Danse Society lyrics

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I'm a big fan of The Danse Society (I only realised this after collecting a great deal of their records!) but unfortunately I haven't been able to find many of their lyrics as the records don't have lyric sheets and there's only a few online.

Does anyone know of any lyrics source for this band? I haven't bought any of their CDs (all on vinyl) are the lyrics printed in the booklets?

All alone here in this place
Here with you now face to face
Just one more fish in the sea
The failing's here inside me
Wake up.
Wake up!
Wake up.
Wake up!
Wake up.

Why don't you give me something in return
Show me a lesson i could learn
One day you'll offer me a truce
And i'll laugh at you and walk away
Walk away

Wake up.
Wake up!
Wake up.
Wake up!
Wake up.

All alone here in this place
In this place...

All alone here in this place
In this place...

Here with you now face to face
Here with you now face to face

To face, to face...

Wake up!
Wake up.
Wake up!
Wake up!
Wake up!
Wake up!
Wake up!

I love that realisation that you are a fan of a band. That's how it happened with me and Die Laughing. I thought they were ok, so I bought a CD, enjoyed it well enough - over time I just kept accumulating their releases until I realised I must be a pretty big fan just by default!

I loved Danse society. Saw them a few times. They come from round here so they played regularly.

I spoke to Lyndon Scarfe last year & asked him if there was any vague chance they'd reform, even just for fun. He said there wasn't much chance as they'd all moved on in their lives and Steve lives in America anyway.
Love ? Love is just f**king with a kiss thrown in !!!
