A minute or two of downtime in the wee hours of Saturday

Updates on forum status, bug fixes, etc. If there's something new in here its probably a good idea that you read it.

Quick network cutover

Tomorrow night at 8:00PM Pacific March 13, 2009 we will be doing a quick network cutover. We are moving our of some older racks in to newer purpose built networking space. The cutover should be nearly transparent, with at most a minute or two of downtime.

This affects all services for people in randy, frisky, swarthy, looney, blingy, and spacey clusters.
we're on the 'spacey' cluster so this affects us...

timezone-wise, the servers are on pacific standard time (PST)

PST = GMT-7

thus:

8pm friday evening on PST = 3am saturday morning GMT

i think :|

note: "at most a minute or two of downtime"

those that are awake probably wont even notice, but i thought i better give a heads-up just in case 8)
