The Von Awards - Bought And Sold?

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

If you scroll down this list of sold sisters items at past auctions, you see that a series of gold/platinum award albums has been sold out of Germany, fetching at the most about 500 GBP each. Were they sold for a "sniff" per chance? Who else would have auctioned them? Im not sure I´ve heard that record companies auction their in-house award copies.

The two FALAA presentation disks are more than likely fakes, I have a BPI disk with full provenance for FALAA which was presented to Boyd Steemson the then manager. The Vision Thing presentation disk on popsoke is mine and was presented to East West Records and was sold by a dealer who cleared out the offices of East West in London and had numerous awards that were presented to the record company for various sales (silver, gold and platinum) I remember quite a few Simply Red disks in the clear out but just one for the SISTERS.
"i'm talking about god, devil, hell, do you understand, finally?"
