Hi there,

I know that this one is circulating at the weeding forum but I'm curious if someone bought the original PAL version of this recording from the taper? That guy is located in UK (afaik) so he probably must have used a PAL camcorder wich means that NTSC conversion came along with less resolution/quality.

Btw. I tried to contact the taper to get in touch with the native HD files but I didn't get a reply to that request

@Doc - He's usually quite slow to reply. I tried to get the raw files and/or a DL version from him but he wouldn't. Said the only version available was the compressed single disc - same as the other London shows that he recorded. Have seen it circulating as both NTSC & 4:3 PAL formats. But he's not the only taper to record in HD then distribute in compressed format.

Yeah probably because bluray blank discs and recorder are still expensive and noone seems to know any facts about long-time reliability etc. Besides that most people/trader/collectors aren't really interested in native HD recordings - at least I can't recall any requests of these kind.

I think the offer was clearly stated as a "hd-sourced" DVD release. The question is if you got the PAL (720x576 anamorph) or NTSC (???x480 anamorph) version.
