I don't think they ever let other people film the shows. Including screen feeds. I can't remember a Sissies gig with big screens? There were screens at Bex in 2002, but they were switched of for our Headliners.weebleswobble wrote:What was the issue with it being broadcast? Not as if you could actually see anything...

Thanks for all the great photos
I didn't find the review too positive either, but the things that are negative are mostly related to the past (or lack of background) so meh I don't think they really ever do the big screens and I applaud the Sisters for that. My short attention span makes I always end up staring at the screen instead of actually focussing at the gig, as you have to!

thanks for the stunning photos people!
sorry a few days later my review...
Wow, what can i say a few days after a gig from heaven! Belgium is the place to be when gigging starts. Not only the wonderful people of the country but also the hl atmosphere when we get there early to get our places right up front.
Arriving seeing Scardwal or Simon was great to have a quick chat with you. Yay! Seeing pikkrong and the messaging from the beginning was so funny. Getting in and seeing Obviousman & friend, christophe at last!!! & meeting others, moved up to the front of the stage where I found, Eva, boudicca, _emma_ and also eggi was a meeting of friends after so many years of not seeing them and amazing to have quick chats and looking after, cause these ladies are hardcore to the max. then back to the entrance to bump into My Dominion, Ozpat, and vicus ?
Heading to the merch to buy two ladies t-shirts was fun…hi to merch guy who was very friendly and helpful and yes they do fit that girls one…t-shirt is a definite have for my kind & the other t-shirt of the tour my son loves so will be wearing until he grows out of it and then it’s mine again. Back to the front and seeing paul & donna, & DasPerltAber, jennzi benzi & girlfriend and also Back in time, radiojamacia, doctoravalanche & wife, lachert, and all those wonderful people around me belonging to HL! Popped to the front and then for a quick drink and wee break and then back.
When they started they didn’t cease to amaze TSOM that is! Looked like they were having fun on stage and the set-list was a beautiful one. The locals in the crowd where a pain in the arse having to get rough with them at stages but when one is protecting HL people around and with the help of a drag of smoke thanks jenzi! One could carry on with having a really fantastic time as close as I was to the mosh! Again the ladies on front row, sorry donna about my elbow in your shoulder and just the overall stand for our right where we were deserves a round of applause.
Andrew was enjoying himself as were Ben & Chris and that’s what made it so amazing. Good things looks like it’s a Belgium thing and why not? After the show seeing Christian, LouLou ( meisje van A’dam?) finally seeing Dave (speedy) & Mich for that drink a pleasure. Saying goodbye to those met for the first time, thanks so much for a wonderful evening.
Staying at christophe kinda got me to meet up with Neverland, Drenchrom, Druide & a few more I can’t remember the names of…frites & hamburgers hey!
Then the rest adds to what has been said. christophe thanks so much for your hospitality! lachert & Pauline & friend, stunning moments after long needed sleep! Neverland & Druide thanks for the lift to the station on breakfast of Duvel. It was a wonderful day after.
Just one thing I have to add… when The Sisters of Mercy gig and perform they why they do, it’s an added bonus having to have had shared it with you all. As you all rock just like the band does which is one love and that’s amazing!
Many thanks to you all and hope I haven't forgotten anyone!

it was a pleasure having you here, you know my door is allways open for you
I asume you will be back next year? you left half your wardrobe here anyway
the gig was outstanding.
I never had so much fun during a gig, the crowd started to move when the drums kicked in and didn't stop untill the concert was over.
We might have missed a lot of the show that way but it was worth it.
the gig was ace, the sound was incredibel clear and the setlist, what a setlist!
it was wierd to walk into some people that I did not expect there and have nice talks whole evening long.
all the people I met, I'm not going to start saying names because I'll problably forget most anyway, but it was a pleasure to meet you all.
for those who I didn't talk to, I probably did not reconise you, come say hi next time

Yes I did the honest thing and paid as I was checking out. I didn't realise I was breafasting with The Phantom Shirt Collector though We found out about this video the day after. I think it was broadcast on a very local channel though.ribbons69 wrote:I recognise a few faces from the breakfast room at TJ's,although I don't actually know your names! Yes me! I'm in a huff now Seriously though, I can only echo Debs' review. Another great gig and lots of friendly faces. Different feel to the Leamington gig, but still a great atmosphere and a strong sense of community among the fans. Good Things didn't come across as well as it did in Tienen a couple of years ago, but it was still very nice to hear it being played again. And Lucretia was an absolute belter! Lots of thanks to Zeno for the lift back to Antwerp - it was greatly appreciated I'm still in the process of wading through reviews, recordings and all the stunning photos that people have shared here, so thanks very much in advanceMadameButterfly wrote:Many thanks to you all and hope I haven't forgotten anyone!

A couple of words from me about this gig:
although I prefer small venues which allow more, errr, intimate interaction between the band and the audience, I must say that this gig was absolutely great too - because it's such an uplifting feeling to see Andrew in such a good mood and so aware of his value, performing in such great form to a big crowd who obviously love him!
And with two guitarists who are by now an absolutely integral part of the band.
more or less the same I could say about M'era Luna probably although there was more smoke and less love vibes from the audience

Millions of thanks to everybody for all the photos and vids and reviews ... : : ...
Ben or Chris or whether Andrew might possibly have lost his voice and such stuff should definitely be gone ... ...
I really adore how very much they all improved even further since last year ... yeah ...
I could only have outweighed with more beer than I was able to drink thinking of driving ... ... : : ... : ...
Nonetheless, it was a wonderful day and a wonderful and deeply pleasing gig... ...
Special thanks to MyDominion ... that worked perfectly and could hardly have been better ... ...
Meeting some I've seen elsewhere before and getting to know a few Heartlanders
(and not-yet Heartlanders) was lovely and exciting ... greetings to all of you ... ...
I guess this years' concerts will - without exception - be ranking on top of my preferred Sisters gigs for a long time ... ...
and hey, hell ... there's still one to go ... I'm so pleased and content ...

A good arrival in Lokeren and a perfect parking place
That was a good start
Further on a super sunny afternoon with a nice diner in the center of Lokeren.
And late in the evening this amazing concert.
Thank you for your company.
And now you go off to Romania for the last gig this summer.
Let it shine and have fun and a great gig !!!
