Old record dealer sales list found..

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Hi,

I was browsing through some old papers and found a list of records for sale from one guy in the UK that I was buying records from back in 88-89 something. The list is from when Floodland was just released. It has some really cool stuff in it. Just thought that I should point out a few things that you probably already know, but maybe there are some goodies that you are unaware of? :) I regret quite a lot that I didn't buy more from this guy (maybe one of you?). And no, you don't want to know the old prices ;)

Anyway, here a some of the goodies:

* Brixton Ace (multi colored + blue vinyl)
* Armageddon Outtakes (white)
* Deadly friends (red, blue and ? cover, three different)
* Stonehenge (multicolored + orange vinyl)
* Halloween in Arkham
* Psychadelic Sessions (white cover numbered)
* Rome (pic disc)
* Tender Mercies
* Knocking on Heavens door (US Yellow cover 45, US Black cover Blue vinyl, US Black cover Yellow vinyl)

* Angel Hearts (7")
* Walk Away + 3 (Brazil unreleased blue cover promo) (I have this :)
* Alice 7" (Mispress back to front)
* Floodland (Edited radis(?? can't see writing) LP uk + cover)
* Floodland (rough mix promo uk)
* Black dominion
* German unreleased fold out proof cover for floodland
* Totally different unreleased proof cover for Floodland
* Floodland cover photo made in 12 copies
* Dark Paradise
* Dead flowers
* "Green eldritch"

There was lots more as well.. Let me know if I should look something up.

Please note that I am NOT selling the above records, I just picked them from an old sales list to let you know something that you perhaps did not know before!!!

Hey, that looks interesting ... :D ...
never heard of an Angel Hearts 7". You know what tracks are on it?

And this is not the complete list? Sounds rather tempting.
Is there a chance you scan it?

And the wiki ist what?

Take a look at the offizial site...they play on 24th March 83 in Liverpool and on 27 th March in Manchester. The Gig you mentioned, I can not find it...

In June, there were two Gigs Brixton, 21st June, 29th June...so the date on the cover also seems to be wrong....

Hey 17.auflage, I've just created a new page in the Wiki about it ...
with details I copied lately from a) Patti's Guide, b) Ebay sellers
and c) with your pictures (slightly adjusted) ...

However, as it seems Jolene is from on April 6, 1983
and Good Things from John Peel Session September 7, 1982

Those lists look like Greg Vandyke lists. I wonder who bought the Body Electric acetate?

Yup it is. I removed the name, just because I don't like putting names up on the web. Unfortunately it wasn't me who bought the acetate. :( I bought my song sheets from him though (pics in another thread). I wasn't too interested in collecting bootlegs at that time :(

As far as I remember the colour is more blue with a different picture but I have to check my old pics/notices (saw this once a long, long time ago)...

The lp on the list is a different one.

I think Bruno is looking for the TAKRL lp Live in Holland, green paper glued to white cover, black vinyl, originally ltd. 100, very rare as fewer copies than 100 exit :wink:

Correct, that's the one I'm looking for. Actually I have never saw this one and heard noone who has a copy. I wonder if this one really exist, altough there exist a picture of it "The Unofficial History of The Sisters 1984-1994".

The notes in this unofficial history says :

- probably 100
- release year unknown
- TAKRL 2122
- white neutral cover with green xerox glued on it (cover S.35 ; R5/4)
- white labels

It's maybe worth trying to ask the writer of this unofficial history (who is also unknown) where he got that picture from he did put in his book.

Someone knows who wrote this unofficial history ?

I think Taylor knows as he contributed some pics (and maybe more) to this discography (he mentioned this in the Some rares thread) :wink:

@ Body Electric : I spoke with Greg (RIP) in the past a lot of time of this item. It was a one side 7 inch acetate (tape one studio label) with CNT label sheet plug letter, similar to the sheet that i have for be 7 inch. It was sold in Uk aprox 2 weeks I received the mentioned list. Greg never told me who bought it :(

@ Live in Holland 83 : I had bought this lp from GV several years ago in 1988 if i rememer right or so. I was very disappointed at time because it was just the record one of Possession 2lp (both in mcv & black) repackaged in a ltd 100 sleeve with a green insert glued on. For the artwork were used the front cover of ghostraider 7 inch

So disappointed that months afters I trade it :( for to get a copy of the Armaggedon lp that at time was impossible to find (At time i have already several sisters rare items inc several acetates but missed armageddon one and become literally crazy to get a copy). I trade it with other rare bootlegs for to get the rare white vinyl with a german collector. After this always find other copies of Armaggedon but never refind the holland 83 :urff:

Greg had it in stock at time both black and mcv vinyl so sure there are other copies around :D

this the true story

I find it strange that none of the die-hard collectors still has a copy. Were there really 100 made ? Or just only a few copies ?

Did you give a photo scan of the sleeve of the Live in Holland to the author of the Unofficial History book ?

Who is the author bye the way of this Unofficial History ?
