Gregorian More!

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Not that I listen to them often, but this is not bad. They are much more interesting live.

I never know what to say about these things. Being a good girl, I am aware that "Kitsch is always the taste of the others"... but I feel like a pretentious hypocrite saying that. Truth is, I wanna rund and scream!!!

Hhm... don't like their performance ... just all the standard hullah-booh ...

though, the idea of a female singer to that song is ... yeah, basically damn interesting ...
she might even have the voice to do it properly ... but they missed the point, anyway ...

Massively overdone. I was hoping it was going to be actual monks doing it as plainsong. Instead they look like they're about to sacrifice a goat.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

slightly better vid of the same song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZboSIvs ... ure=reated

it seems the female vocalist (violet) is Sarah Brightman's sister....
I hear her cry all day, all night
I hear her voice from deep within the wall
Made a cross from knitting needles
Made a grave from hoover bags
Especially for the woman in the wall
