VoC - which is the Australian one?

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Please help ...

I've searched the whole trading section but didn't find out which of these two CD-bootlegs is the Australian Victims Of Circumstance ...

Tracklists differ. The yellow one includes Wide Receiver at the end.

Anybody know?

Thank you very much, radiojamaica and lachert ... :notworthy: ...

Do you know anything about the label, the date of release or other such stuff concerning these two CDs as well?

So the yellow one is just a homemade fake bootleg with a CDr but still from the same source (Strawberry Sessions 1984, etc.)?
Hhm, but I think I have seen it on Ebay ... could be an error though ... that cover is used more often than only for one bootleg ... ...

So that were nice ... doesn't have too be that large, though... :)

Code: Select all

another bootleg CD with the same title but one more track at the end
didn't heard about that one but you can alsow mention "suns of mercy" cd bootleg from 91, which was very similar to "voc" with additional aftehours and jolene at the end, but omited serpent's kiss.

three Oz bootlegs all appeared around the same time. I did research it all at the time. As I recall the pressing plant specialised in bootlegs to order

Some further questions, this time about the Victims Of Circumstance 7" Vinyl

Does anybody acutally own one of the hand-numbered first 1.000 copies? Or are these only a myth?

As for the repressed copies - were they all on white vinyl with unnumbered cover?
Or were black vinyls repressed as well (beyond the additional 500 up to 1500/1000)?

And how about those alleged 26 in gatefold sleeve ... do they really exist?

Any further information on these questions?

Most probably not, the Wiki clearly devides between the two ...
and I take it for granted that people would not have written
something there, without any existing knowledge or proof ...

Can anybody clarify the fade in KoHD by the way? To my ears anyway the Australian VoC version does not sound as though it was artifically boosted by a bootlegger, whereas the faded versions I've heard do sound as though the fade is artificial (and quite arbitrarily placed too).

Based on aural evidence alone I'm inclined to think that the fade/double-A-side malarkey is about as genuine as the ToL or "Kiss me Carpet" demos.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Oh yes! Thanks! Seconded!
I couldn't find a fade within in the Australian version, either,
and also remember having heareda version somewhere with
that fade, but where ???

I shall check the Australian version again, and if again, I shouldn't find
that fade, I'll change that sentence in the Wiki ... trusting my ears for once ... ...
