The festival site has no map, and googlemaps doesn't recognise "groenputte-stekene", so it seems indeed in the middle of nowhere. :notworthy:
Is that somewhere here? http://maps.google.pl/maps?hl=pl&q=stek ... a=N&tab=wl

The Sisters Of Mercy are playing around midnight on September 2nd. Tickets will go on sale in about two or three weeks - ticketprices will be in the same range as last years, we're not expensive at all :-)

Hotel accomodations can be found within 20 mins drive to Antwerp, Sint-Niklaas or Hulst (NL). In the countryside near our festival you'll also find some nice bed and breakfasts. But you can always bring your own tent to our camping site ofcourse...

Looking forward having Sisters's community on our festival!

R
We have The Sisters Of Mercy, Admiral Freebee, Echo & The Bunnymen and more on our bill. Yehaa.

Oh yes, I'm thinking 'bout that as well, since this one is in driving distance from Cologne ... :D ... and Belgian festivals are wonderful, mostly ... ;D ...

Right, I talked with an old classmate the other day who's from round near there and it seems easiest is to catch a train to St Niklaas and then a bus from there. Prices last year were in the 30EUR range, so not at all too expensive.

If you want a camping ticket, you ought to rush as the locals like to go camping themselves, it seems.

Any questions you want answered: PM me, I'm out of town for the rest of the week but will ask around a bit more whenever needs must

Oh, and I forgot, apparently it is indeed an all-new, purpose-laid out festival area. Nice!

Naast The Sisters Of Mercy kondigen ze nog acht andere toppers aan: Admiral Freebee, The Subs, De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, Echo & The Bunnymen, A Brand, Steak Number Eight, Mason en Addicted Kru Sound. Hits als The Killing Moon, The Cutter, Bring on the Dancing Horses, Silver en Nothing Lasts Forever zijn nog steeds even aanstekelijk dan vroeger. Er waren plannen voor een zaalshow, maar die werden plotsklaps aan de kant geschoven voor een exclusief concert op Crammerock

welcome Crammerock! sorry i got too excited when i saw this date to read all the comments. i'll be there i'm hoping on your camping site and like the regulars of HL that know Belgium, i was wondering if you could please place the linky when the tickets are available on here so that not all of Belgium guys buy up the camping site.

the Sister's community on your festival will be overwelming, geweldig, and as long as the drinks are flowing, toliets are clean, we are a pretty bunch to look at and party with!

will there be showering facilities on the camping section of the festival? sorry something a madame needs to know. also what kind of drinks are available, is the pink belgium beer on sale?

groetjes, MB

I think it is, but Stekene is a teensy village anyway so it'll probably be easy to find once your there. Nowt to worry about :)
Ok thanks - I cannot see any (still functioning) train station or place to stay. As I only sleep in tents when I hike and as I only drink Belgian beer when I don't drive, what could a taxi cost the 10 km something to/from Sint Niklaas? I guess the best option is to sleep there or in Antwerpen (or not at all of course..)

Edit: ok I found a page for another region, but should be an indication..something like 25-30 euros for a taxi to Sant Niklaas after the gig, expensive but ok if sharing with others.

I have to think seriously about this, it's sadly much more off the map than for example Tienen or Lokeren, I can already see the expenses will add up along the way :|
If you're okay with me being drunk off my feet, I might have a bed for you in Sint Niklaas. I'm going with some mates, and I'm not sure if we'll have space left in our tiny car, but we can figure something out, as Stekene is real close to Sint-Niklaas. The bed and and stuff is free, just being nice. :) I'm 17, but most of my mates that are going are end 20's and begin 30's, so if you're going alone to the concert, you'll have plenty of people to hang out with! :D
