Anyone on here give a sh!t about the NotW phone-hacking scandal? No calls for Rebekah Brooks to be jailed for perverting the course of justice?
OK then.

The whole NoTW thing is a disgrace.
How could Brooks not know it was happening?
She was the fcuking editor! Aren't they supposed to have the final say on what gets printed?
Come to that, how could Murdoch not know? I though he knew everything. He practically owns everything (in media anyway).
& it will be interesting to see whether Cameron distances himself from his fellow pond life.
On the plus side, I am impressed by this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14029033
So far it looks like just Ford have pulled out though

They're petitioning the DCMS to try and resist the urge to give in to Murdoch's latest power grab...

Conrad Black was sent to prison for less.
If it can be shown that Murdoch did know of the phone hacking, particularly phones of government ministers, given that he is a foreign national, I think it would be legitimate to charge him with espionage.

Not before bloody time.
You are what you drink - I'm a bitter man!
And how long before a 'new' one will be brought out.
Sometimes just shutting up shop is the easy cop out I feel. It makes me feel uneasy. They haven't addressed the issue of the nasty pondlife who sanctioned it, paid for it, did it. They are the ones who should be hung out to dry.

Leslie Ash has just told C4 News that her lawyer is asking the Daily Mail to explain how they managed to get personal details about her.
I would pay good money to see the Daily Mail closed too.

clickyThe Guardian just wrote:The closure of the News of the World could be a cunning ploy to legally shred any incriminating evidence linked to the phone hacking scandal, according to a prominent media lawyer.
Mark Stephens, head of media with Finers Stephens Innocent lawyer, said under British law the paper "may not be obliged to retain documents that could be relevant to civil and criminal claims against the newspaper—even in cases that are already underway."
