Great shots!

How did you get a decent camera past security? They took my SLR off me. :|

Your face was a picture when the security woman walked past me with your camera. Not as much of a picture as the security bloke outside when I walked past him with a 2 1/2 year old telling him it's not his 1st gig

Luckly Heather got her camera in :innocent: She's already done you your disc and it should be in the post for you tomorrow..Tuesday at the latest.

I normally use a Pansonic GF1 which is a 4/3 SLR so I can fit the camera in one pocket of my combat pants and a 45-200mm zoom in the other. I got this camera into Leeds in Feb. Security don't seem to look down at trouser legs if they just give you a look over. Plus I was in the first 20 people in so security weren't prepared for the initial rush and let people through without any checks.

I hadn't been to Glasgow ABC before, so I took a Panasonic TZ20 which is a compact but takes good pictures and HD film. Fortunately cameras are just getting better and better so until venues review what they consider to be professional cameras we can get good pictures.

BTW the one place I can never get past security is Shepherd's Bush Empire. They are red hot down there for checking everyone.

One of the women on the door insisted I put my long wallet chain inside my pocket "because it might injure someone" Yeah right.Kept it in there for two minutes, then pulled it back out.No one said anything inside the venue.

Judging by your avatar, it was you.

Potato bread's irish, not Scottish.

What, again? :notworthy: :D :notworthy: :D :notworthy:

I personally prefer a bit less smoke - I do like to see what the band are doing onstage - but many people like a good 'pea souper' when they see the Sisters. For me, this gig was a slow burner. Nothing to write home about but it did get better as it went. And the clips I've heard sound better than it did where I was standing - thanks people for sharing :notworthy: The crowd was a bit subdued (unusual for Glasgow), and the moshpit seemed to consist of Lex and Eggi occasionally bumping into the front row. I'm not a huge fan of ARAAHP, but it was nice to hear it re-worked.

I was hoping to catch up with more people after the gig, but things didn't quite go to plan. We went to Sleazy's, but found it very loud and busy. So I tried to be sentible and have an early night, but I was then persuaded to stay out  We tried the Griffin round the corner for a quiet drink but then it shut! So back to Sleazy's for one more drink and then home.

they called this gig like that somewhere... and if the posted setlist's order is close to truth, it looks like.
such gigs must be funny. waiting for _emma_ review ;D
:) _emma_ does not post reviews. A review can be either good or bad or trying hard to sound clever, and that's not what _emma_ does, all she can do is express her feelings whenever they overwhelm her. A review is like a kind of assessment, isn't it. Imagine spending all the time effort and money just to have an opportunity to make an assessment - don't you think it would be just plain sick and mental?
My only reason of going there was to experience another close encounter and enjoy it as always, and I did. To me both gigs were absolutely great and I'm full of new energy and hapiness afterwards. :D :D :D :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
More in the Sonisphere thread later, when I finish unpacking. :)

yes, it's extremely unhinged :|

You're speaking about yourself in the third person. Only supervillains who are planning to take over the world speak about themselves in the third person. And boxers. Are you a supervillain who is planning to take over the world? Possibly through the medium of boxing?

After watching those videos again, I hereby retract the above statement. I must have just had an off day or something. Loads of energy coming from the band and I loved hearing Eldritch howling 'More' over and over again! :notworthy: The crowd was still pretty pants though - that gig should have had everyone bouncing :D
