I'll go anywhere in the UK. If it's going to be Leeds, I'll get my organizing head on, find us pubs/venues/entertainment.

you really don't need my approval to all get together in the same room you know
i happily endorse any such congregating of 3 or more HL members in the same room in any city the sisters aren't playing...

we are going to have to plan this well without knowing when the sisters aren't playing so this will get interesting.

the only dates i've heard about for 2012 are the re-booked oz & nz dates which i gather are looking like february/march, and the amphi festival on 21st july
however, given that the july date is a festival, it's quite conceivable that there will be other festival dates over the summer announced, so if you're trying to plan something that involves people travelling i'd avoid then
fwiw, this is just one of the problems i had when planning HL meetups people only have so much spare time & money to travel, and quite rightly most people put actually going to the gigs first

yes i can see what you are saying boss. the summer months would be the better months for festivals in europe & indeed there are so many people that would go to the gigs first and then put a meetup on hold.
if you look at it regarding people travelling, you know us mainlanders do our best to get to the island. so there will be travelling for us whichever way we look at it really.
now for those who would enjoy a meetup in 2012, we can all start saving now & for everyone to help out in as far as you would go to get it sorted.

I could simply say that I figured HLers sometimes need extra time.
