oh dear. oh well if anything we were lost due to powers above welcoming in the new year. which we couldn't do together. but we are all good people within this thread so i'm sure we have been adult enough to share our opinions *as to how horrible it was & now we can move on, having noted where to check when HL is down. a lesson learnt for us that didn't have a clue. so it's time for a group hug right?

How dare you say such a thing! I demand you apologise immediately!markfiend wrote:I don't think it's anyone's fault, but tempers seem to be getting frayed on HL a lot recently.

It was much better when we could says it was James fault for upsetting everyone.markfiend wrote:I don't think it's anyone's fault, but tempers seem to be getting frayed on HL a lot recently.

Didn't actually lose my temper (here or in the other thread where people may think I did recently), just thought some remarks were inappropriate and said so. All water under the troll bridge now though. But if you want anger I'll take offence at being called a Tolkien fan...nah, I can't really pull that one off when I own a copy of The Children of Húrin, can I? In my defence it was a present and I haven't even attempted to read it.markfiend wrote:I don't think it's anyone's fault, but tempers seem to be getting frayed on HL a lot recently.

We have a token 'fault person' each day in my class. I pull a name out of the jug of doom and when anything goes wrong; computer doesn't work, pencil goes missing, Koala group can't do their Maths 'It's such and such's fault' The kids love it.
I sense this thread is no longer an Announcement - ooops

i might write a "random whipping boy of the day" script which every day pulls out a username from a list of top 50 posters and stick it in the header somewhere

You have koalas doing maths? You could make a fortune with that!Debaser wrote:Koala group can't do their Maths

Going back to the "random whipping boy of the day" idea, my vote's for keeping it random. There would be genuine tension over the daily announcement of who's todays scapegoat. It'll be like The X-Factor. But enjoyable.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

and if it's only the boys been whipped then i'd vote for the girls to do the whipping!stufarq wrote:Going back to the "random whipping boy of the day" idea, my vote's for keeping it random.
